  1. A lot of pitchers have looked good against the Cubs. This...this is just a terrible, terrible post.
  2. How could you not have heard it? It's catchy as hell and everywhere. I know. I was making a joke. In the music thread, people will deny having ever heard songs that are constantly playing everywhere no matter where you go. Hipster NSBB. Just musical oafs like Derwood. Usually it's talking about [expletive] like hearing Macklemore a zillion times and not actually knowing whose song it is. PS: Macklemore sucks even more since we had that discussion.
  3. I have no idea why I was so excited that there was going to be a doubleheader today that I would get to watch. I guess just not being at work, because, as per usual, this blows.
  4. Dribbler hit, runner tagged out while the guy at 3B scored but catcher's interference ruled. Yankees given the option to have guys on 1st and 3rd or take the run and the out and they took the latter.
  5. Bunt single that needed review to overturn another out. LIVIN' THE DREAM.
  6. Oh yeah, thank God they ducked a no-no with a mighty bunt single. That's infinitely less embarrassing.
  7. Why? It's a good song off of a decent album.
  8. Olt gonna end the no-no and the shut out right here.
  9. Basically gave the entire history of the Cubs' misery. I guess you have to play to your audience, most of whom probably doesn't even know there is a National League. You lost respect for him because he spent a couple minutes, tops, talking about a bad baseball team's long bad history?
  10. Same. I liked him but he was never on the level of Dawson or Grace for me. Andre was my favorite as a kid by far. Then Sammy, but Wood had me from the 20 K game when I was in 8th grade and watched it live. I doubt I'll ever have the same love for players that I had for Hawk and Kerry. Loved Wood after that, but it's funny, that was one of the few times I remember my dad actually being aware of a prospect and he was just so convinced that Wood was going to break down that it colored my opinion of him from day one.
  11. Yeah, I shouldn't have done that. I love Sammy, too. Apologies to everyone on the board. Now we are best buds.
  12. He's still not hitting leadoff, so there goes that little morsel.
  13. I mean, it's crazy when you think about how many guys simply choose to not take a crapload of the bottle that magically makes you a good hitter.
  14. I loathe you.
  15. The FO just might be broken when it comes to actually signing anyone of consequence. Pretty sure Soler is going end up abducted by aliens or something.
  16. Glorious. Plus it looks like it was gonna be just fair, yes?
  17. Every Cubs fan should have melted down over Tanaka.
  18. I cannot stop watching this. It's perfect.
  19. He is the absolute best.
  20. Even if/when the Cubs are good, I think most of their seasons will still likely be able to be summed up like this: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5yafr3OkK1r8yzazo4_r1_400.gif
  21. For whatever it's worth, the A's only once were more than 11 games under .500 in the 2007-2011 span, so unlike the current Cubs, they weren't embarrassing themselves in between playoff appearances or racking up awesome draft picks. The A's were also never in position where they had a previous general manager who didn't give a [expletive] about the minor league system and handed out horrible contracts like candy. The Cubs didn't have the bold either. Kyle is an anus, but there's no need to rewrite history.
