  1. Get the horsefeathers out of here with not calling ball 4 to Bryant, ump.
  2. Couldn't crack the code that was Chris Archer, and now the game will probably last 16 innings just because.
  3. Good thing Joe pointlessly went to Cishek the inning before.
  4. 300 OBP as our leadoff hitter. Paging Neifi Perez. Yeah, its beyond absurd that he's anywhere near the top of the lineup still. The Cubs need to trade for an OF bat so bad it's not even funny.
  5. Terrible ump call to start it, then Schwarber just swinging at (according to Gameday) some absurd pitches nowhere near the zone, and then finally hitting into a DP on a pitch almost dead center. I think maybe he's just not all that good.
  6. Wow. Genuinely impressed Bote wasn't tempted by the high heat for once.
  7. What cracks me about Descalso is that the only thing propping up his Fangraphs' value from being even more catastrophic is how he's defensively valued to this point better (actually a positive value!!!!) than he has been at any time in his entire career except for his 11 game rookie season in 2010
  8. Well, I guess that's true even for Joe since he just horsefeathering pulled him with 2 outs after giving up a hit, and apparently it's TOO MUCH to the face the Pirates' horsefeathering #7 hitter.
  9. This FO seemingly almost never wants to admit a mistake by dumping a player.
  10. Speak for yourself; I'd look pretty amazing up there.
  11. Archer and Darvish probably had a, "hey, we both used to be pretty good, so let's go tell our teams to go easy on the other guy because he's secretly dying of boneitis, so we can look slightly less awful for once," meeting before the game, and that seems nice.
  12. Look, you don't face a titan like Chris Archer and his *checks notes* 5.91 FIP that often, OK?
  13. And Cubs' offense hurrying things along like they really have to go go.
  14. Only 32, but he had freakin' hip surgery last year.
  15. Can I fire the rest of my FO?
