I gave Barrett partial blame from the outset. Z started the argument, Barrett chose to escalate, and they both chose to get physical at the same time. I don't recall Barrett escalating anything. He gestured towards DeRosa I believe it was to ask his opinion on something after Z bitched him out and then Z slugged him. as I understand it, Z said something to the effect of "dude, think out there, you threw the ball away and it cost us a run" and Barrett pointed at the SCOREBOARD and said "dude, look how many runs/hits you've give up" and then Z punched him We all thought that, but I believe I remember reading that Barrett was gesturing towards a middle infielder (again, I believe DeRosa) that was at the top of the dugout, not the scoreboard.
