  1. Seems like the shadows are really screwing with STL infielders too.
  2. Man St. Louis really sucks. Just a sleepwalking moment for Edman to gift Nico a base and that's turned the whole inning
  3. If this ump's ability to get quick answers when he's telling Google Assistant to flip a coin on every pitch is an indication, we shouldn't worry about robot umps delaying the game
  4. Report today that he fractured his elbow and had it surgically repaired. Done for the season. Apparently his TJS went well, though, because the ligament held up so well that his humerus took all the damage.
  5. I think that's what he meant, that he plays too much golf to watch TV
  6. Yeah, supposedly that's a London thing (Yankees and Red Sox did it in 19) but a potential preview of the ads the Ricketts will inevitably sell on the regular jerseys
  7. Ump squeezed Steele against Carlson and then called a pitch 3 inches high as a strike, so that's interesting
  8. That's two hot shots today that didn't look like post shift restriction baseball
  9. This looks like a tremendously fun time-suck. I can only think of 6 of the 9 spots for the grid you posted. I am really bad at 40-save pitchers because of the inherent transience of relief pitchers.
  10. Hendricks quietly has given up 1 hit through 6 and has thrown only 79 pitches.
  11. Kind of a crazy send by Harris there but the throw was way high and Mancini gets in to make it 5-1.
  12. The radio guys mentioned the other day that Rich Hill is the oldest active MLB player and it made me wonder what kind of odds you could have gotten back in 2007 or so that that would ever be the case. Amazing longevity.
  13. It always makes me chuckle when beat writers have to pretend there's a chance a guy will be in the lineup the next day after something like this. I'd be surprised if Swanson even plays in London.
  14. There was no way everything would go well at once, I guess
  15. Only been to 3 for an MLB game and I'd probably rank them Wrigley, Guaranteed Rate, GABP. I had way better seats for the Guaranteed Rate game than the one at GABP so that might color my opinion some.
  16. I'm about done with Taillon. At least Heyward could give speeches.
  17. That was kind of my thought, though I didn't feel strongly about it. However, Bukie and TT I think have won me over to their side.
  18. Morel knocks the hell out of another one and clears the bases. He's so much fun.
  19. What the actual hell was that throw, Wisdom/what the actual hell was that attempt to catch it, Hoerner?
  20. That was low in the zone, almost a ball, and Morel banged it off the scoreboard. My God this kid has power
  21. No, THAT was a horsefeathering bomb (Morel). Holy hell
  22. That was a sweet swing by Amaya too. I love having 2 catchers that can hit.
  23. Yep, Mooney wrote about it after that start. This start is yielding similar results.
  24. This Pittsburgh team stinks, STL finally being bad for once means this division is wide the hell open, go take it
  25. Mervis is bad but Mastrobuoni has literally no value to this team at all, I'm getting annoyed he's still here
