    I think it depends on which rib. If its one that seriously effects his swing awhile. If its not, it might only be a week or two. Worst case scenario, Rammy is out a month (but this isn't likely) And the one he appeared to have hurt was his right one, not the left one, so that's good news.

    I really doubt he's out more than a few days. DeRo at 3rd, Fontenot at 2nd for the weekend, perhaps.

    Yeah 9 out of 14 heading home isn't all that bad. You really think we get swept in Fla? We always do This team will not be swept by the Marlins. We very well might lose 2 out of the 3, but no sweep. We should win the series since both Z and Demp are going, but this team has a jinx on us or something. FONZIE! CRUSHED!

    Aramis the first Cub with 20 homers/30 doubles in 5 straight years since Hack Wilson...

    I seriously want him nowhere near the playoff rotation. Z - Harden - Dempster. Repeat. Get Gaudin/Marshall in there. I'd be fine with that also, but I'm not sure Lou would be. I haven't searched the board today - Has Lou named Marshall the starter on Sunday? yes Len and Bob said he'd be going Saturday, with Dempster getting an extra day and going Sunday.

    Reed would have to be on there, probably Soriano too. I'll throw out DeRosa, Lee and Blanco as the other three, with Theriot being the worst.

    This is a weird statement to make about the third winningest manager of all time. His consistency with every team he's been with is amazing. You and others may not like some of his tactics, but it's really hard to argue with the results. 'Third winningest manager of all time' smacks of using pitcher's W-L to me. You can win a lot of games with Canseco, McGwire and Pujols in your lineups.

    That quote doesn't mean a whole lot except to prove that Jimmy has done nothing but say and do all the right things since becoming a Cub.

    Shark will probably end up pitching a few innings after Marshall. Really, the only difference is that Marshall will go first.
