All of the sudden Mojo Pins avatar becomes wishfull thinking. Meanwhile, the Sox get great poduction from a malnourished Cuban shortstop who wasnt projected to make the big leagues this year. Go figure. You could say the same about Reed Johnson and Theriot as far as unexpected great production. Geovany Soto, Ryan Dempster, Kerry Wood, Jim Edmonds. Kerry Wood???

I wish we had a power hitting prospect in his late 20's in our farm system. I think it's only fair we trade the Hoff to the Cardinals to help him reach his full potential. -

Ok...if you're Jason Marquis, and you've sucked for about 20 straight years, maybe when you get a 4-0 lead you just start throwing strikes and make the other team hit the ball? A thought, perhaps? I'm glad I missed this one. -

The guy is so incredibly smarmy... you can just tell he thinks he's the funniest man alive. I don't recall your views on him (you may not have posted them), but I find this sentiment ironic considering Keith Olbermann, who might be the most egotistical prick in the entire universe, is getting a lot of praise in here. I can't watch his Countdown show for more than 50 seconds before finding something to get pissed about.

according to wiki, the team with the best record in the NL gets to choose whether they want Game 1 to be October 1st or 2nd. Game 5 will be Oct. 7th. Hmm...I wonder if it'd hurt Carlos too bad to start Game 2 while we started Harden in Game 1 on the 1st so we could start him in a potential Game 5 on the 7th...

How about 23-14? (We have 77 wins right now) I had to change that like 5 times and still got it wrong, go figure. Hopefully in two days I can repeat the 21-14 figure correctly.

4 years and 55-60 million for Dempster past his prime would be one of the most indescribably stupid things the Cubs have ever done, and that's saying something.

All white sucks, and the Cubs' home pinstripes are among the best uniforms in sports. No thanks. And I think differently on the nameless thing, I think it was just to emphasize the 'name on the front' philosophy after the Sammy 2004 fiasco, and they switched back because they realized it looked dumb as hell. Change the road jerseys if you want but leave the pinstripes alone.

The Cubs should not re-sign him. You don't think the Cubs should re-sign Dempster? No. Too much money, lots of cheaper alternatives. Love the guy but he's going to command way more than he's going to be worth.

Not that Aramis should or would win, but saying he's only played 116 games is a little ridiculous. If he played the rest of this year's games, he'd have played 154. Even if he misses a few more here and there, it's not like you have to play all 162 to be considered.
