Good lord, I'm getting Detroit/Atlanta and Jets/Dolphins. Those teams won like 15 games combined last year, what a craptastic lineup. Sticking with the Cubs.
I was about ready to throw myself off the top of the stadium in a ritual sacrifice. Thank goodness for the Notre Dame defense. If Michigan kills us like they did last year after looking hopeless to start the season, I might do the ritual sacrifice anyway.
If not for a couple of oddly horrible throws by Davis, we could've easily blown the Middies out. I'll take 35-23, though. :D 2-0 for the first time in 13 years. Akron next week, should be a walk. Then the big IU game.
Impossibly psyched as I am for Ball State/Navy tonight, it increases tenfold when the local radio station plays "Here Come the Irish" on the Friday before a game. It's gonna be a football kind of weekend.
I did to begin the season, when I was in college and had time. I'm not in college anymore, and usually just watch the Cubs or Brewers right now. I would watch more if I had EI.
What's kind of sad is that we could continue to suck for the remainder of the month against everyone else, split 6 with the Brewers, and we'd probably still win the division. I would really prefer us not do it that way.
Last Friday afternoon I got home from work and said I couldn't remember the Cubs last losing. If it weren't for my saying that, I wouldn't remember that last Friday was the last time they won.
