  1. That's not really a prediction now is it? Which one of those things do you think happens? If I have to answer honestly, I think you'll beat us. With Smith I think I would be more optimistic. But I was assuming an 0-2 start, so if you beat us and we don't look horrible, I'll live with it.
  2. He got suspended 2 games for punching out Ken Lucas. He didn't play yesterday either. And CubbieBum beat me to it...all the Colts fans are having a party that Brady is out, even after being embarrassed last night. I'm just wondering how they'll screw up winning the AFC this time.
  3. Not used to finding that out before October, eh?
  4. Carolina likes to run the ball, and with Stewart the power back in to complement the speedy Williams, they looked good doing it in week 1. But with Delhomme back, they can pass it too. If Dante Rosario continues to be as good as he was last week, the Panthers might have a decent trio of guys (Moose and Jarrett as well - Jarrett has a nice week 1) to complement Smith once Smith is back. The offense got to the red zone 4 times and gained 282 yards in the 1st half against SD but only scored 9 points. Dumb mistakes kept that game from being an easy win as opposed to a miraculous one. As for this week, the key for Carolina is taking care of the ball. I think the Panther D can hold the Bears' offense and keep the game reasonably close if the offense can manage to avoid turnovers against the opportunistic Bears defense. That means Jake has to replicate his 0-INT week 1 and our backs have to continue holding on to the ball. My prediction is that if Carolina can get a really really big defensive or special teams play, like a touchdown or close to one, and also hold Chicago without one, they'll win. If they can't get one of those plays, the Bears will win. If you guys play as well as you did last night you'll win regardless, but I (optimistically) doubt a team can repeat such a well-played game. Good luck, guys. This one looked like a horrible game 24 hours ago but now is one of the best games of week 2.
  5. Congratulations, fellas. Two surprise 1-0 teams in Charlotte next week. I'm excited. :D
  6. They said during tonight's game that they're calling de-spleened Chris Simms.
  7. HOLY CRAP! Jake Delhomme!!!!!!!!!!!!! Panthers win as time runs out! 25-24! What a huge win!
  8. Chris Gamble!!!! 16-10 Panthers! Love our defense.
  9. 9-7 Panthers after Jarrett drops a touchdown. This is driving me crazy. The defense won't stonewall San Diego forever.
  10. Carolina races to the red zone without a problem and then shoots themselves in the foot a hundred times and has to settle for a field goal. They have thoroughly outplayed the Chargers but for one blown coverage and trail 7-6. Looks like the same old Panthers so far.
  11. Delhomme is 6/11 for 100 yards and DeAngelo has 46 rushing yards through a quarter. No score, but if we actually have an offense this year, that would be very refreshing.
  12. 4th and a foot from a touchdown and Carolina passes. That's why they're the dumbest team in the league.
  13. I had San Diego to beat my team in Survival Football. I hope I'm eliminated. DeAngelo Williams has looked good so far and Delhomme just hit Hackett for a nice gain, so maybe something good will happen.
  14. I'll be at the stadium. If we win, I don't give half a brown Crayola how horribly boring and ugly it is. I'm just sick of getting blown out by Michigan. I predict both teams will look far far better than they have so far, though.
  15. Kerry Wood sucked but he also got the ground ball he needed to end the game. Cedeno's only job is to field it and not only did he not, he couldn't even keep it in front of him while screwing the play up. That was an absolute joke.
  16. Good, maybe Derrek can single here.

  19. FONZ! He even double clutched on that throw and still got him!
  20. Correction: PSU stopped playing ND in 92, played them the last two years and now aren't playing them for the foreseeable future. Their lost win, I guess.
  21. Good lord, I'm getting Detroit/Atlanta and Jets/Dolphins. Those teams won like 15 games combined last year, what a craptastic lineup. Sticking with the Cubs.
  22. I was about ready to throw myself off the top of the stadium in a ritual sacrifice. Thank goodness for the Notre Dame defense. If Michigan kills us like they did last year after looking hopeless to start the season, I might do the ritual sacrifice anyway.
  23. Going to the Stadium today to watch ND. I was already going next week for UM and I just got an extra ticket for today. Sweet.
