  1. What's not so easy to avoid are the yells of "Woo!" from the thousand or so people around him whenever he starts it up. (And yes, I admit I've actually been one of those people.)
  2. The page 1 schedule has been updated to reflect Texas/Arkansas's postponement and Air Force/Houston being bumped up two hours.
  3. http://www.carolinagrowl.com/Read.aspx?Story=725 Good lord, Muhammad said something similar the other day. I have a feeling we'll get nothing out of either as they get caught up in playing the Bears. And in answer to Cuse asking if we can stop the run, we're decent, not great. Good linebackers. Forte will probably get his yards, though, somewhere between 3-4 a carry I'm guessing.
  4. That's random. Their famous songs are tolerable but I have yet to hear anything else I like by them. They did a cover of Beat It that's alright too.
  5. I think that the Molina play woke the beast inside Ted Lilly.
  6. What happened? Looper threw a fastball high for the first pitch. He probably wasn't aiming to hit him (more or less over the middle of the plate, just at Lilly's head level) but it looked like it at least was a message pitch. Lilly just glared.
  7. I want at least one Cardinals' player's limb severed tomorrow. Not really. But I want them to lose by so many that they'll wish they had.
  8. I certainly won't be pleased, but at least it will mean that they didn't complete one of the most horrifying collapses in the history of professional sports. I don't see that happening, if only because I don't think the Mets/Phillies are good enough to catch us regardless of how horrible we play.
  9. I don't even know what to do or say. Totally at a loss for words. I want to be angrier, but at the same time, I don't want to be as doom and gloom as I am being in my own head. If this team plays like this a month from now I'm going to put a foot through a wall. According to PTI: tonight was the anniversary of the black cat game. Now I feel better.
  10. I hadn't noticed before but "sounds like heaven..." is on screen when Mrs. Camden randomly says she's smoked pot in the 7th Heaven ad. Coincidence?
  11. Edmonds hearing a LOT of boos. Some cheers too but I bet a lot of that are Cubs fans.
  12. Lee Double!! (No Play at the end of that sentence!) 1-0!
  13. Put the Cardinals in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg
  14. Good, more of the Ronny Cedeno Experience.
  15. I really doubt he ever did. He's played CF a fair few times this year and didn't say anything.
  16. The thing I'm most worried about is ND's inability to run the ball consistently last week. If they couldn't do it against San Diego State's patchwork d-line, I hesitate to think how they can do it against Michigan. I think they can pass it (I think 4th-quarter Jimmy is a lot closer to what we'll get this year than first-3-quarters Jimmy), but if we can't run it then we won't get in the end zone.
  17. Have they ever played this game when both teams are not ranked or did that happen last year? I want to say it has happened a couple of other times. Last year obviously neither team was ranked because they both came in 0-2. Those calling this the worst ND/UM game must have short memories, because not only were the two teams looking worse entering the game last year than this year, but it wasn't even a close game as Michigan destroyed us 38-0 in the most humiliatingly lopsided loss in recent ND football history. It's the only game I have ever given up on watching before the first half was even over.
  18. This week will represent the 1st of probably just two times I'll get to see Carolina play this season (the other is on MNF). This is barring flex games and featured games, which could happen if they are actually good.
  19. I wasn't even a Cubs fan yet when this happened, but I was rooting for Sammy to win the HR race since he had come out of essentially nowhere. I converted to being a Cubs fan about the turn of the century.
  20. That's not really a prediction now is it? Which one of those things do you think happens? If I have to answer honestly, I think you'll beat us. With Smith I think I would be more optimistic. But I was assuming an 0-2 start, so if you beat us and we don't look horrible, I'll live with it. I think both teams fans are skeptical of their team's performance, because I think the Panthers will win. If you want some ammo for optimism, we've lost 4 home openers in a row, and it'd be 5 if Delhomme hadn't miraculously rallied us back against Jacksonville in 2003 to spark the magic ride that season was.
