  1. Seriously, the game of baseball must not like us. I don't know how else to explain it. Ludicrous that this crap keeps happening
  2. And the umps handed LA 2 runs. Wow.
  3. Get a double play? What the hell??? Dick is the best announcer in the booth tonight.
  4. Darling completely ignored the video and decided that Aramis tagged his shoulder. What baloney. I love when announcers fail to use the tools they have.
  5. He was out. That's bull [expletive].
  6. I emailed the Cubs on this fact and they have yet to respond. They should have done something. Rally towels are impossibly stupid.
  7. Early-inning scoring opportunities that go unused have not been a good omen. It really sounded like Stockton said "the Ducks" and not Cubs...am I alone?
  8. He came in to the Game 2 thread and talked about how Zambrano wasn't really that good and would probably break down any day and some other stuff. Normally it wouldn't have been a big deal, but the fact that he brought it up from basically nowhere and did it WHERE he did was a death sentence for their posting career.
  9. Ron Darling just said "4 RBIs apeach". The fun continues.
  10. 31-0 Cardinals. First shutout of an opponent since 2000. Man, this winning thing feels great.
  11. When does TNT coverage start, since it's pretty clear this game isn't ending before 10?
  12. Ball State has shaped right back up with a 21-point second half while allowing no points still. BSU 24, Toledo 0 with about eight minutes to go. Cardinals will go 6-0 for the first time since 1965 and will almost certainly break into the polls for the first time ever. :D
  13. Didn't decide to go to the game?
  14. I'd be perfectly fine with the Brewers making it. Whether the Cubs win or lose I want them to win their series.
  15. The sign that said "The geeks will inherit the turf" was awesome Yeah, that's gotta be Gameday sign of the year so far
  16. I was going to point out how they're only 5-0 now, but then I realized they play Mississippi State next week. Haha, I was mistaken originally, but yeah, they probably will. Mizzou has scored a TD on every single first offensive drive this year...that's a nice little pattern.
  17. How freaking awesome must it be to be a Vandy student right now? I mean apart from the insane amount of homework they probably have to do. I would love if they kept winning, even though the odds are heavily stacked against it.
  18. Picked off! Vandy will go 6-0!!!
  19. Wow, Vanderbilt almost colossally choked. Got the fumble back. I have a bad feeling if they don't get the first here. I'm really hoping they can stay unbeaten.
  20. I'm keeping my stuff I've had on all day...no Cubs stuff. Changing it up.
  21. So between Stanford's players trying to start brawls with us, tackles mouthing off to the paper about how bad our defense is for only having 1 sack through 4 games (how does four taste, Chris Marinelli?) and about how he hates playing at ND, Jim Harbaugh losing his mind on penalty calls against Stanford, and the Cardinal band being such jackasses that they somehow got banned from the campus, I have no idea why this series continues. Stanford is completely irrelevant and there's no point playing them anymore. But thanks for letting Jimmy have a career day when we couldn't even run the ball. 4-1. Ball State - no games under 35 points this year - leads Toledo at the half, but by a 3-0 score.
  22. I may not be on here to get this in before the game starts tomorrow: Let's freaking do this [expletive]. These Cubs have gotten up off the mat before, and they sure as hell can do it again. We have the single most unhittable pitcher in baseball ready to roll tonight, and a fly ball pitcher who's been awesome recently waiting to go tomorrow. There is no reason we can't play just as well in these games as we have badly in the first two. Go Cubs. We're not done.
  23. No idea how much I'll be around tomorrow to post this so I'll do it now. The Rays try to eliminate that other team in our fair city and move on to the ALCS for the first time in team history. They'll have to do it against the guy that helped pitch the White Sox into the playoffs in the first place. This should be interesting. Let's get it on.
  24. I'm hopeful that going to the Notre Dame game tomorrow will cheer me up more regarding the Cubs. It's gonna be football weather - way colder than it's been through September. I'm looking forward to it.
