    Betting on Carolina in a survival league is never a strong plan because they are completely capable of being blown out by anyone in the league...but I hope you're right.

    Sweet. Just picked up a bleacher seat in Sec. 301 for Game 5. If any NSBBers will be in that area we should party.

    I think "drunk" is going overboard in describing Yeatman's situation as I have read that he only blew a .02 that night. That said, since it's his 2nd violation i'm not very optimistic in his return. From all accounts Fauria doesn't seem ready so I guess the offense will only become more predictable using an extra tackle as TE in running situations. Hopefully the Irish can still pull off the win and finish September 3-1 which would be what I was optimistic for. I too will be in Muncie for Ball State's homecoming and can't wait to see this team. Any word on whether Dante will be out of the hospital and if they plan on doing something for him before/during the game? Saturday shapes up to be a pretty good day with drinking starting at 9a.m., BSU game at 12, back to the hotel for ND, then out at some bars to watch the Illini game. Dante will probably be released from the hospital this week (may have been for all I know). They're picking out rehabilitation centers for him, and I haven't heard any word of whether he'll be around for the game. I hope he is. That'd be big. Ball State should destroy Kent State. The Flashes gave up 667 yards offense - 414 rushing - to Louisiana-Lafayette last week. Big day for MiQuale Lewis, I'm guessing. I'll be headed to BW3's after the BSU game to watch ND.

    In fairness, Aramis hasn't done a whole lot to earn it the last few weeks.

    if it makes you feel better, your offense sucked anyway. That rarely matters against Purdue. No TE's limits what we can do severely.

    Notre Dame's tight end Will Yeatman went ahead and got arrested for driving a golf cart around while drunk after a post-MSU party (not much to party about, if you ask me), which after Mike Ragone already tore his leg up, leaves Notre Dame with two tight ends, both true freshmen, for the foreseeable future. Weis has said Yeatman won't play again until his legal issue is resolved which will probably be a few games at least. Wonderful.

    He pitched six innings of one-run ball in the Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS that the Mets lost. HUGE performance...

    Must be nice. yeah, sitting home and not making any money is totally worth getting to see first round playoff baseball. :banghead: you take a lot of crap for it, but if i could find a wife who was able to provide enough money for me to live the way i want to live and was willing to let me stay at home... screw it, i'd be all over that. Ditto. I'd rather be with my kids than work at most any job unless it was my dream job.

    Deciding that trying to dig out of an 0-3 hole wouldn't be difficult enough for Brady Quinn, the Browns elect to go 0-4 by starting Derek Anderson against Cincinnati. Also, I'm scared to death that Matt Ryan will torch the Panthers even though on paper he shouldn't.

    Notre Dame hadn't played a true road game out of conference since December 2005 prior to this year's scheduled trip to Loyola Marymount. So I have no room to say anything.

    Personally, I would like Aramis to hit a go-ahead homer with at least two runners on in the bottom of the 8th of Game 5, followed by Kerry Wood getting the save with a strikeout to finish it, but not before Jim Edmonds makes the best catch of the year in center.

    Harden and Z have both been better on extended rest while Dempster has shown no real difference either way. So it makes sense that they'd pitch Demp on normal rest and give the 'aces' extra days.

    My friend managed to get 2 tickets to Game 5 if it happens. First-base side, second deck. Course, I'm not the ticket #2. I'm not sure whether I should be happy for him or not if Game 5 ends up happening.

    I doubt Michigan St. is that high. I know in SI and ESPN Purdue is rated as like 4 and 9. I am so pumped for the Maui invitational match up of them vs. Duke. I wanted to see them play them last year. Two evenly matched teams. You guys drew Duke? Hmm...that should be interesting. For whatever reason ND got the honor of being the first big-name team to crush IU this year in the first round of Maui. I'm hoping they get to play UNC or Texas to beef up their strength of schedule, which will be better this season, but still kinda mediocre outside of UCLA.
