  1. And most of them were Ball State fans. Seriously, Miami students, you can't get up for a ranked team (and your biggest MAC rival) coming to your place? This is the MAC conference we are talking about not some 50,000 student major college. Every single school in the MAC (save Miami) is somebody's safety school, including Testicle Tech. I went to Western Michigan b/c I couldn't afford The U of M and MSU has a crappy college of Education. Give me a break. Just because it's a safety school or whatnot doesn't mean you can't care about the teams once you're there... (Ball State was not my safety school, not once I actually investigated their program anyway)

  3. Great recruiting. Brady Hoke's first few teams were awful, partly I'm sure because he'd never been a head coach before, partly because BSU had no base, but a big part was Bill Lynch's awful recruiting classes from the end of his tenure carrying over. Guys like Nate Davis, Briggs Orsbon, MiQuale Lewis, etc. would've never come here five years ago. Tonight was our worst game yet. I'll take the 31-16 win, but I was hoping for a slaughter. CMU and WMU are going to be intense.
  4. About to go watch us go 10-0 for the first time ever. Yay.
  5. Was there any other? Not in my head.
  6. I think someone mentioned that earlier, or at least I remember making a joke about the Big Ten finally finding a way to make their brand of basketball exciting. yeah it is a couple of weeks old, i just hadn't seen it posted. It was, but it's always worth repeating.
  7. Carolina plays NY Week 16. I'm pretty sure I know what'll happen, but I'd like a shot at them before conceding the NFC to them. No doubt they have played the best football by some margin through 9 games of anyone, though.
  8. Dude, we don't want to see North Carolina drill Ball State. Go to a decent bowl where you actually have a chance of beating your opponent. I watched North Carolina play Notre Dame, and there is very little chance that they would "drill" us.
  9. Ball State rises to 14th in the BCS. They need to pass two of Utah, Boise State and Ohio State to make the Orange Bowl. All three have lose-able games left, but the odds look pretty long.
  10. Ugh, that's just depressing. I've literally never seen a football game where the team I wanted to win won while playing worse. DeAngelo Williams had a great day (career-high 140 yards) but absolutely no one else on the offense had a good game.
  11. Northwestern and Penn State are still in the Big Ten and there are plenty of teams in that conference capable of playing a bad enough game for IU to beat them. I'll give them 4 or 5 Big Ten wins.
  12. I don't know about going for 2 there.
  13. Kasay makes a field goal to ice this craptastic game. 17-6. Panthers 7-2 but lots to work on before Detroit next week.
  14. Jake Delhomme and Andrew Walter's QB ratings are 34. Combined.
  15. Chris Gamble intercepts Andrew Walter. Dick Stockton immediately calls it incomplete, ignoring the ref waving the interception signal, clear as day, on the field.
  16. fortunately you're playing the raiders. Any other team would be destroying us. We're winning 14-6 and by no means deserve to be. Even Detroit at least would put some points on the board in these spots.
  17. Jake throws his 4th pick. This is a disgraceful day for him.
  18. Jake Delhomme throws his 3rd pick and now it's 14-3. WTF
  19. DeAngelo dashes for 69 yards and a TD to make it 14-0. :D
  20. Good lord our offense is embarrassing today. 14 attempts for 36 yards and 2 interceptions by Jake and we can't run the ball either.
  21. If the Raiders are alive in this game, Al Davis is a good owner. Your defense looks good. Or our offense is playing horrible, one or the other.
  22. Stupid throw by Jake and Oakland looks alive again. We can feel free to not let Justin Fargas average 8 yards a carry today.
  23. Chris Fowler and Craig James can both bite me. Both have BSU ranked 25th in their AP ballots (no one has us out of the polls), and Fowler actually dropped us a spot after we destroyed Northern Illinois. BSU should destroy Miami, the RedHawks are 2-7 with one of those wins over I-AA Charleston Southern and has freshmen at QB and RB. Miami has historically played us well no matter what, but we've never been remotely this good. I don't care hardly at all about ND/Navy. If we lose Charlie's feet are officially in the fire, if we win this season is still annoying. This team is more frustrating than last year in a way - at least last year we knew we would be crappy each week. This team is underachieving significantly.

  25. James is a 5 percent three-point shooter on the season and drains two to finish the Bulls tonight. Of course.
