  1. I'm seriously not sure if there's ever been a more worthless human being than Aaron Miles.
  2. Damn. Pat has a pretty miserable singing voice.
  3. Carlos Gomez's first homer of the season.
  4. Seriously, I think the only bench bat we have of any real threat now is Hoffpauir against righties and Reed Johnson against lefties (and Lou won't ever put him in ahead of Kosuke in the middle of the game for some insane reason). I guess to say Scales is a 'real threat' is more an indictment of the bench than anything, though. This will not go well.
  5. Wrigley is awesome because: It's old. The non-obstructed seats are close to the field. The neighborhood is like a big frat party. Other than that, I got nothing... If that's really all you got, then I hope you don't go, because you'd be taking a seat from someone who wants to be there, quite frankly.
  6. The joys of interleague play. The only time you will ever feel like there are too many visiting fans at a game at Wrigley are Cardinals games, and games against AL teams. Sometimes Brewers games nowadays. They see the @ Cubs on the schedule back in February and plan a weekend trip to Chicago to see their team play at Wrigley. It happened last year when the Cubs played the Orioles. When the National Anthem was playing, whenever they say "O say..." all the Orioles fans said "O" in unison to match the word in the song. I guess its some dumb Orioles tradition, but when they did it, it was loud and noticable. Good God, I had forgotten about that too. I was at all three games of that series and it was possibly one of the most disrespectful things I've ever seen. I wanted to punch anything orange and black that whole week.
  7. Wrigley sucks because: - It's a cash cow - Reactionary fans got on someone for interfering with a foul ball in a pennant-clinching game - There are drunks there - Concrete chunks fell from the upper deck once - There are posts that obstruct some seats' views (something no one ever complained about when it was Tiger Stadium) Got it.
  8. What the hell is this guy talking about??
  9. I find it absolutely incredible that a fan of a big-time college program can complain of double standards. Ball State had a similar textbook scandal in 2005 and so many football players were suspended for our non-conference schedule that we lost our three nonleague games ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SEVEN TO THREE. The point is, any Bama or USC or FSU is going to get less punishment than the little guy because the little guy doesn't make money for the NCAA.
  10. Certainly not this year, or next, or probably 2011. It'll be a while till we have the financial flexibility to make the moves necessary to win it all again.
  11. I agree ... fans need a target and MB is an easy one. Hes an easy one because hes brought it all on himself this year by playing like a little leaguer As someone who has not been particularly harsh on Bradley, I don't understand how several people here are defending Milton. Me either. I have never and will never boo a Cub, but Bradley's the first case in a while where I don't really mind that others are doing so.
  12. Why waste another guy. Do you really think Fukudome-Theriot-Miles are going to get anything going vs. Nathan, or anyone else? I meant Chicago. Why the hell is he here and Gaudin, Wuertz and Vizcaino are all pitching elsewhere?
  13. Get Patton the [expletive] out of here please.
  14. Nah, gotta set the stage for the fake rally against Nathan.
  15. I'm officially announcing my apology to Derrek Lee. You've still got it, as it turns out.
  16. And now the fans are going to be stupid and boo Milton Bradley when he's the tying run at the plate. He deserves it, but this is not the time, not when he can tie it.
  17. Bradley caught a 1 out fly ball, stood there for a second, then chucked the ball into the bleachers.
  18. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  19. What do you mean "goes back to"? He had one good defensive play. Which was probably the first good thing he's done this year that actually meant anything.
  20. Aaaaand Aaron Miles goes back to sucking. Kenny Chesney could hit better.
  21. On a plane, bus, train or car?
  22. I just don't want the Brewers to win it. I am sick of their bush league behavior. I would pull for the Cardinals before them. I will take a team of asses that are legitimate players over having to watch the parade of magically good crappy baseball players in St. Louis play postseason baseball. There is no more legitimate player than Albert Pujols. The reason they are competitive is a testament to how good Albert is. If Ryan Ludwick, Chris Duncan, Kyle Lohse, Todd Wellemeyer et al. performed like they should, it wouldn't matter how good Pujols was. There's no doubt he helps, probably more than any one single player helps anyone, but he can't be responsible for everything.
