    I am aching for the season to start. I don't know if I've ever missed college football this much. On another scheduling note, it looks like a 2010 game between ND and Tulsa is all but a certainty. They were also in talks with TCU for a while for a 2010 home game. I hate this new scheduling business, but at least they're seeking out high-quality non-BCS conference opponents. A 2010 schedule that involved Utah, TCU and Tulsa would have been actually pretty interesting.

    I really, really want Florida to crash and burn this year. I am sick and damn tired of hearing about Tebow.

    It's a mortal lock that we score 6 runs in his next start and he gets crushed and we lose 8-6. (I'll be at that game, and the two after, so that'd better not happen)

    All I know, is that we were told over and over again how awful Fox is on defense, only to find he's probably better than Fontenot at third and is at worst a mild downgrade from Soriano in left. I view the "Fox can't catch" thing with some skepticism too for that reason.

    At the very least a reason to tune in every day. It's awesome. But you naturally start setting ridiculously high standards. Like you really expect him to homer just about every at bat. Not thinking he might, but you start to expect it. Absolutely. And when you are a fan of the opposing team, you start dreading when he'll be coming up next but yet secretly looking forward to it because he's that good and cool to watch. I don't secretly look forward to Pujols batting against us, ever. I not so secretly look forward to the time he goes on the DL right before a big series with the Cubs.
