  1. Should be the end of Harden's night. Hope we can get him off the hook.
  2. Any of these big-time hitters who K's a lot aren't as intimidating as a guy who doesn't a la Pujols. It's the same reason Ryan Howard doesn't scare me as much as some of the other Phillies.
  3. What does Dave Otto do when he's not being the all-purpose fill-in for Chicago sports media members?
  4. I know, is she just some random Marlins fan? Supermodel Cindy Taylor, who bumped Len from the ceremonial countdown change to the new Marlins' stadium.
  5. Complete with Dewayne Wise-esque ridiculous play in the outfield. This game is stupid.
  6. I was half-trying to run through the Mets. Can't remember any. They just said Caminiti for Padres...so I'm gonna throw the Astros in there Those tricky bastards. It's definitely Milwaukee, only being in the NL 11 years.
  7. I was half-trying to run through the Mets. Can't remember any.
  8. Gnashing of teeth and pounding of breasts by the 3rd inning? Oh, it's definitely one of THOSE nights. Why do you come to game threads if it bothers you so much? To loff and loff and loooooffffffff. From UrbanDictionary:
  9. And Koyie hits the piss out of one for an out too. Could be one of those nights.
  10. And Cody Ross makes a ridiculously good play to steal three bases from Fontenot. Great.
  11. Pitchers just destroy the Cubs at the plate. It's unbelievable.
  12. FONTICANT! Seriously, that was a great throw and should've been an easy out.
  13. Looked like Aramis winced a bit on that 2nd play but he seems fine.
  14. According to the Sun-Times Twitter, Gorzo will join the Cubs tomorrow and start on Tuesday in Cincinnati.
  15. Yes, Victor Martinez and Casey Kotchman have me quaking in my boots.
  16. Why not? The possibility, however remote, of having to face Peavy in a World Series. You're very odd. I don't see why that's odd. Peavy on San Diego was completely nonthreatening unless we face him in the one series we have left with the Padres. Peavy on another contender means he could flare up in October.
  17. Why not? The possibility, however remote, of having to face Peavy in a World Series.
  18. This is not what I wanted to hear.
  19. It occurs to me in this debate what a freaking amazing piece of Cubs history Moises Alou would've entered if that ball had in fact gone into his glove. It would've been a fantastic play and presumably the Cubs win the game if he makes that catch. Instead, all he is is a whiny guy who urinates on his hands and had a pretty damn good 2004 season at the plate.
  20. I'm not quite as anti-Stone as some here, but it's worth noting that he wasn't acting like a bitch towards the Cubs franchise prior to September of 2004.
  21. After the Dodgers series it will be 3. It's in St. Louis.
  22. Keep on keeping on, friend, I got dumped yesterday too - albeit a much shorter time frame than a year and a half.
  23. Hey, that's my line. :D First place, just in time for my annual three-day trip to Wrigley. I love it.
