  1. If Jordan never plays hoops, yes. But the Bulls did bring him here, it's not like Jordan waltzed in of his own accord. They at least deserve credit for that.
  2. You must not think much of Meyer if you think he'd lose to Navy at home.
  3. Are Urban's health issues really going to get any better by skipping out on a couple of months of recruiting? That's the open question I have here.
  4. Boy, that ridiculously innocuous and not-serious post really pissed you off for some reason.
  5. ESPNChicago.com saying Vinny will be fired and the only thing holding it up is that they don't know who to replace him with.
  6. So basically Urban Meyer is the Brett Favre of coaching. Now I remember why I dislike him so much.
  7. You're welcome, Packers and Cowboys fans. Where the [expletive] was this team in September? And of course Smith has to break his arm. I swear something has to happen to him every year. And yeah, it might be time to let Moore see what he can do as the starter.
  8. Bob Stoops is an obvious fit - he was D-coordinator at UF before coaching Oklahoma, and he flirted with ND so he's clearly open to leaving. And UF is probably a better job.
  9. And I put 2 confidence points on it. Not cool.
  10. At least BYU won to end my oh-fer streak.
  11. Irish cream Bucknell. Next Wednesday is Providence to open the Big East.
  12. Brady Quinn hurt his foot on his final 20-some yard carry on Sunday in KC, so he's on IR and Derek Anderson is back. The local South Bend CBS affiliate is airing the Browns/Raiders game Sunday because of local interest in Quinn. Well, this sucks.
  13. The only holdover will be Tony Alford, the RB coach.
  14. Where the hell was this all season? Steve Smith is still awesome. If we could get QB play like that and Peppers' play like that every week we'd be a damn good team.
  15. They're all going to pitch out their collective asses again. I don't know what kind of insane power Dave Duncan has, but he does.
  16. He'll do great convincing the team he is the future. In all honesty they should try to get Vick or Kolb off of Phily. Vick would require a level of ingenuity and originality that this franchise has never had in 15 years. They will overpay significantly for Kolb or draft some nobody QB in the 2nd round. Or, what I consider most likely, they'll keep playing Jake.
  17. Carolina officially eliminated - wrapping up the turdburger, eerily 2009 Cubs-esque Panthers season just in time for the Williams Wall to destroy Matt Moore tomorrow. With neither of our tackles playing anymore, I fear for his life.
  18. Well, ND had to beat UCLA and they did. Sluggishly, but they did. Barring a disaster against Bucknell, 11-2 OOC. The Northwestern loss doesn't look so bad anymore, though I'm still annoyed about it. I'm not too worried about whether ND makes the dance or not. I'm just excited to watch some conference basketball.
  19. I'm not all self-righteous about the DH or anything like that but I don't want it in the NL.
  20. Wrong thread! :D
  21. Milton was supposed to grovel on his knees for forgiveness from the almighty Cubs fan. Don't you understand?
  22. I'm going to guess this is a joke account, but it's worth noting that the worst Cubs team of the last 6 years 'had speed' in the leadoff role.
  23. I mentioned this last week. It's a little annoying, but if they're good games (and this season, most of them have been), I can live with it.
  24. The black X over the silver lining is that the team could luck into an 85 win season where they contend based on weak opponents and everybody will applaud the move and pressure them to keep Hendry. After we replace Bradley with Podsednik, there is no level of weakness of competition that could get this team to 85 wins.
  25. You'd be hard pressed to find either of them throw a temper tantrum. Wouldn't surprise me to see Pinkel retire earlier than he intended if Mizzou were to move to the Big 10. Anderson would be able to land a job at a major basketball program, and while he may have no interest in it now, I could see him pursuing it more if Mizzou switched. But yes, lolz temper tantrums. Why would Anderson leave? The Big Tweleven would be a much better basketball conference than the current Big 12 which you'd think would increase Missouri hoops' potential for big things.
