  1. Nova didn't even play well and they blew us the [expletive] out. We really suck, but Nova's also really good.
  2. Plausible, but they did just beat Texas in their last game before this.
  3. Notre Dame is the worst allegedly good free-throw shooting team I have ever seen. I can't remember the last time ND got a pair of free throws when they needed them. And now Nova's running us out of the gym. So damn predictable.
  4. Well, the Irish got their lucky breaks in the first half and completely failed to take advantage, so now the bounces are going Nova's way and things are starting to go bad.
  5. ND down 41-40 at the break and could easily be up by 6 or more if they could hit FTs and not be so sloppy. Weird to say that ND's been uneven offensively in a 40-point half, but they have been.
  6. Notre Dame is playing really shitty to be down 5 to Nova right now. 3/8 on free throws, incredibly stupid turnovers and poor defense.
  7. This is a prank. Following is an excerpt from the Neil Patrick Harris coming out story. Look familiar?
  8. They're friends. It was an inside joke.
  9. Did I talk more about Rich Hill than I remember doing? I hope Hill is just good enough to be mediocre in St. Louis and get crushed every time the Cubs face him. We'll see. He may have you mixed up with abuck. I figured the combination of an also-ran former Cubs pitcher and the much vaunted "pixie dust" of the Cardinals/Duncan that seems to give Andy fits might have been too much for him. I'm still busy worrying about how Juan Pierre will affect us in the World Series. I'll get around to worrying about Rich Hill later.

  11. Ball State beat Miami (OH) for the first time in six years tonight in 2 overtimes to get back to .500 overall and in league play. On a much more important note, this South Carolina game is nuts.
  12. You must be a Colts fan or something, because I don't recall ever thinking the Bears would win, nor do I remember hearing anyone pick the Bears.
  13. That's if someone doesn't beat them up and take the boombox first. Dibs.
  14. They lost to the Cardinals once on the last play of the last game to knock them out of the playoffs and I'm told that call is priceless.
  15. Eh, well. It was worth a shot to try to get him at a new position. Overall I've been pleased with my impressions of Kelly's recruiting so far. Care to explain why? I've been thoroughly unimpressed so far. I guess I'm just glad to see him pursuing top talent. Of course, he needs to actually get it. doesnt ND always pursue top talent? It was a Brian Kelly thing. There were those (not me) that thought he wouldn't go hard after blue-chippers because he would be too focused on his "RKG's" (right kind of guys, quoted from his presser).
  16. I just remember all Seattle fans and many national sportswriters whining about the officiating and wondering why because Pittsburgh pretty well controlled the game and would've beaten the Seahawks 8 times out of 10.
  17. Tails never fails, Vikings. Come on now.
  18. Out of a timeout. Wow.
  19. especially when dont get a challenge back that you won. why should the saints get penalized for the blown call? Yeah, I could deal with two misses and then you're done, but I like the college system much better. I think at least for the playoffs the NFL should adopt the college system. Provided NFL refs don't suck and overturn correct calls like most college refs do, I'm for it.
  20. Yes it was. The one called included a lift then drive into the ground. That's illegal. The one not called was a shot below the knees - Tom Brady rule.
  21. The stupid thing is that was no less of roughing the passer than the one that was called.
  22. Well, the Jets made it interesting for a little while I guess.
  23. Pretty nice timing to brain-fart on what play was called. Geez.
  24. What did Mark Sanchez do to the refs? He got lit up there for no reason, no flag.
  25. With a team composed largely of young guys who haven't won before, bombastic confidence is exactly what I'd want out of my coach.
