  1. I don't want to go all Sulley, especially on a game no one cares about, but damn if BJ Daniels hasn't looked terrible in every game I've ever seen him in except for last year at ND and today at Ball State. ETA: Keith Wenning leads the game-winning drive and BSU holds on. 3-1 with a loss to Clemson. Couldn't have asked for more.
  2. Making out the schedules I've wondered the same thing. 3 straight weeks PSU has had an ABC game. Central Michigan beat Iowa earlier and WMU leads UConn. Yay for the MAC.
  3. That's a walk-off without the blown call at first  Nice shot, Barney!
  4. Sean Lee was not 'defenseless' on that play and if every play where someone led with the head was fined and penalized the NFL would be out of business by next Tuesday.
  5. Yeah, about 5 years ago. This is his 3 year slash line: .3053/.3489/.4653 The 'third year', his OPS was .671. His OPS+ was never above 100 before last season.
  6. I'm sure it's happened, but I can't remember anyone apart from the Steroid Era who just jacked up their career-high OPS by 150 points over a 2-year stretch this late in their career. He had played six full seasons before posting an .814 last year and is closing in on .900 this year. ETA: His BABIP is a career-high .328 coming into today and his HR/FB rate is more than double any other season in his career other than last year, and is 50% better than even that season, so that probably has a lot to do with it.
  7. To be fair he's also rushed for 16 more TDs.
  8. I have yet to see one iota of improvement from the 2011 team in any area. The 2011 team was 6-10. The Giants' JV offense is going to drop 40 in Charlotte, for God's sake.
  9. I'd probably do it. You have other good WRs and you're pretty weak at RB. Off topic, you did real well to get the whole Giants' RB depth chart.
  10. Got Atlanta next week. I really don't want to start 1-3, and the Giants are missing huge chunks of their team (while Stewart is our only notable out), so it'd be really neat if Carolina could make me happy this evening.
  11. I'm that guy right now, unfortunately. Thankfully, I also have CJ Spiller.
  12. Where are these idiots in my league?
  13. Cheapest ND/Michigan ticket on StubHub right now: $225
  14. Looks like that's exactly what it is. On CFB Final they were talking like the Marine was celebrating with him. Oops.
  15. he's frustratingly a rhythm guy, and Linehan never really allowed him to get in one with the stupid insistence on trying to establish the run he did fine against the Rams after it was eventually realized they were completely taking away the flats he's fine though, trade for him in fantasy if you can I have a 2-year keeper on him in my fantasy league at $16. It's the biggest bargain in the league as long as he's in 2011 form.
  16. What's up with Matthew Stafford? Was Week 1 a blip or is this a harbinger?

  18. Chirp, Chirp. Can't wait to watch that on DVR later. Was a hell of a finish.
  19. you're so andy. our incredibly young team dominates a top-10 team on the road and you're thinking of 2007. Haha, I'm happy as all hell. I was just curious when the last time the Irish held a BCS-AQ school out of the end zone and found it ironic that that team was the last to do it. If this team beats up Michigan the way they did MSU, the sky's the limit.
  20. Oddly enough, the last ND team to not give up a TD to a BCS-AQ school in a game was the train-wreck 2007 team.
  21. Alabama might never lose again.
  22. I like that concept I do, too. Very unique to split a 4-game series up like that. I just wish there would be more interleague games total. There should be 30, not 20. And spread them out more. I don't know if we're the only team who is done with IL play by the middle of July, but it's kind of disappointing to me. I'm a traditionalist in most cases (hate the DH, etc) but I think IL play is one of the best things that has happened to the game in my lifetime. That and the Wild Card. I disagree. I like interleague play as it is now. Part of its value is in its not being common.
  23. Actually, ND and Purdue have a pretty big in-state rivalry. I doubt they'd drop that game. Everything I'm reading says the top priorities are Navy, USC and Stanford. I presume all the 3 B1G schools would remain on the schedule consistently though (presuming they want to), if not necessarily annually. This probably belongs in a different thread, but I think I'm more excited about the basketball team in the ACC than I am about the football part.
  24. You know, I've been looking for a good new euphemism for...never mind.
