  1. Down goes Stanford.
  2. For the first one, Minny has held RB's to the lowest fantasy total of anyone so far. But then, there's no telling how many touches Choice will get since Jackson and Spiller are maybes now apparently. I'd probably lean LeShoure. Second one, Alfred Morris and Ben Tate.
  3. I doubt where you will be playing for his junior year had that much bearing on his decision. I think that he liked Illinois, but not enough to leave home. No getting his brains beat in by UNC and Duke every year was what won him over. I meant more along the lines of not wasting time with Houston, SMU and Central Florida, but like I said illiniguy is probably right.
  4. I doubt where you will be playing for his junior year had that much bearing on his decision. I think that he liked Illinois, but not enough to leave home. Yeah, you may be right. I feel like Illinois was far into the lead until the ACC move was announced, but again I wasn't paying that close attention.
  5. ACC move more than likely just paid its first dividend for ND.
  6. I already had a one-year keeper contract on Green that will expire after the season. I was. I'm stuck with Roy Helu on my team because I stupidly put a one-year keeper on him (didn't think in a million years he'd end up 3rd string, and he's on IR now in any case), and league rules stipulate that any player you have a keeper on must remain on your roster. I had Spiller, which was looking great until he got hurt (picked up Tashard Choice yesterday). My other starter is Gore, but that was it as far as guys getting consistent work. What compounded my problem is I'm looking at having to drop someone else to get a QB this week since Stafford may not play and my backup (Roethlisberger) is on bye. Appreciate the feedback. I didn't realize how high people are on Green. I love the guy, too, and I tried to get him to take Bowe in the deal instead of Green.
  7. I think it's a pretty good one, Yahoo thinks it benefits both teams, but since this forum is here: I'm very weak at RB (dumpster-dove for Tashard Choice out of desperation since my alternative was starting backups) and stacked beyond belief at WR in a 14-team keeper league (2 WRs, 2RBs, 2 WR/RB spots). Got offered a trade, negotiated, and this is what we ended up with. I traded AJ Green, Torrey Smith and Ben Tate for Mikel LeShoure, Darren Sproles and Stevie Johnson. I still have Bowe, Harvin and Mike Wallace at WR and he still has Arian Foster and LeSean McCoy (who he just picked up last week in a trade that included Aaron Rodgers going the other way). Any thoughts?
  8. Atlanta only giving Carolina seven points, at home, considering Carolina's defense and Atlanta's offense, is absolute free money. Naturally the Panthers will probably find a way to cover.
  9. You disagree? Care to explain why? I deleted that other part because nobody said anything about doing that. Because I don't want the Cubs to lose. I get the stupid draft budget, IFA cap and all the other stupid [expletive] MLB placed in the CBA to keep smart people from getting better, but the Cubs are going to have a stupidly high draft pick, and a lot of draft/IFA money because of how terrible they are. I seriously doubt the difference between 2 and 3 will matter. I'll concede that I'm not really going to be able to explain it very well, but while having the #2 pick is fine if that's what happens, I just don't feel like it's important enough to openly root for. Speaking as the fan of a football team who very recently had the top pick (in a sport where it's far more important to pick higher than it is in baseball), rooting for a crappy team sucks all the enthusiasm out of rooting for anything, really.
  10. Just watched the Castro homer. Holy [expletive] he didn't even get all of it and hit it out to near dead center. Granted, it's Coors, but that's a good sign.
  11. I can understand wanting the Cubs to lose for draft positioning. I disagree, but I can see it. What I can't understand is actually watching games and actively rooting for the Cubs to lose.
  12. If people posting patently ridiculous things about Notre Dame football was all it took to make my head explode, this board would've been rid of me long ago. 8-)
  13. Why? Because Notre Dame needs Michigan more than Michigan needs ND, but ND was the one who dumped UM. I would love to hear your reasoning on this. I don't think either school 'needs' each other in any way, shape or form.
  14. I'm very surprised that Michigan didn't do this first to have it end with a UM home game. There had been scuttlebutt about just such a maneuver for years. It's a shame the game won't be played, but it's not like it was an annual event - as recently as 2000-01, Nebraska replaced Michigan for a couple of years. and in 1995-96, Ohio State replaced Michigan.
  15. I fear I'm incredibly stupid, but I honestly didn't know there were different footballs used for kicking. How are they different?
  16. All I need from you are four measly field goals, Green Bay, you don't even have to score a touchdown.
  17. I think MSU has underperformed and will get better. Not sure why you would think the wheels would come off. You're talking about the same Michigan State MR is, right? Why wouldn't we suspect the wheels to come off? I agree though that they should get better. Offensively they can't get a lot worse unless Bell gets hurt.
  18. Boise State was ranked (and is again ranked) even though Kellen Moore went pro. Florida began the 2010 season without Tebow (a season in which they went 7-5) ranked highly. It happens.
  19. The insiders at Illinois loyalty swear it's Illinois, they're usually pretty accurate. We will see. I'm sure you will get him. ND doesn't get a big-time prospect unless they're destined to be wildly underwhelming (see Chris Thomas, Luke Zeller) and Jackson sounds like the real deal from all I've heard about him. Haven't followed closely, though.
  20. Since I don't see it posted in here, Tom Noie of the South Bend Tribune tweeted this weekend that Jackson told ND he will be making his choice this week.
  21. Northwestern will presumably replace MSU after Ohio State destroys them Saturday. Ohio State couldn't even destroy Cal or UAB Touche.
  22. Lions/Titans refs just made the worst replay reversal probably in the history of football. Certainly the worst I have ever seen.

  25. I agree. That scenario was terrifying since I wasn't particularly worried about UM driving the length of the field - big plays were going to be how they won, and that would've been a huge one.
