  1. I admit to being pretty clueless on a lot of this LOI politics stuff - under what circumstances can a university get out of an LOI?
  2. I know stats say Jackson should be doing better but he's still pissing me off. He never looks remotely in control of any game.
  3. I'm assuming that changed when Fox changed from Saturday afternoon games to Saturday night games. Could be wrong though. I think you're right. It doesn't look like it's available. Fox games are blacked out, as are any games that start within a 3-hour radius of those games, regardless of when the Fox games start. Fox has had games at 1, 4, and 7 EST on different Saturdays this year, and the blackouts move with them.
  4. stop massaging your nerdy numbers to suggest that this is anything but a really bad team Platoons are so awesome. 27 games in June, 14 are against teams with a worse RD than us. Assuming no epic collapse today, we just need to outperform by three wins to go 17-10 and be .500 heading into July. If we go 10-17, I am blaming you.
  5. At the rate we're going we'll hit .500 and have like a +45 run differential
  6. It's too bad Matt Garza is pitching tomorrow, otherwise that record might well be ours.
  7. It's a good thing the Cubs are so far behind that it's hard to get hopes up, because you and Kyle are trying to mess with us.
  8. The TJS or the towel jokes? Haha, I meant the TJS, though a case could be made for either.
  9. What happens if they tie? I forget. Current Cup holder (in this case the Sox) keeps it.
  10. Rizzo's first Cubs triple. Man, I love seeing him rake.
  11. Hope you have MLBTV or are a local Chicagoan, otherwise you're stuck with him tomorrow. Len and JD are on WCIU.
  12. We haven't lost this way yet this year, have we? That can't be good.
  13. Garza looks great again (save throwing too many pitches), so at least that's going well.
  14. You are probably right. I'd definitely get Zaire as much time as possible, though, even maybe a series or two in said insane environment to get his feet wet and give the UM defense something extra to worry about.
  15. Gunner Kiel confirms to Cincinnati Enquirer he's not making a U-turn. With only 3 scholarship QBs this year, I really wonder if Kelly might just toss Zaire in and have Rees continue to play the reliever role. ND's not going to win 12 games anyway.
  16. The Bylaw Blog jumps right in with a breakdown of how Kiel could potentially come back to ND: http://www.athleticscholarships.net/2013/05/25/how-gunner-kiel-could-play-for-nd-this-year.htm Don't think he would, though.
  17. That's Golson, Kiel, Vanderdoes, Aaron Lynch, Davonte Neal, Tee Shepard gone since the end of the '11 season. Throw in Deontay Greenberry's last-minute flip away from ND on signing day '12 if you want. That's the makings of a half-decent team. 2013 is pretty much a lost season now unless Malik Zaire morphs into Superman by August.
