  1. Bama -6.5 strikes me as free money. I would love to see Ole Miss stun Bama, but I just haven't seen anything from them that leads me to believe that's possible. This game strikes me as similar to the 2012 game where Bama played Miss State, who hadn't really done anything of note but had somehow risen to #12, and Bama smacked them around. I expect something similar here. Free money? That's a bit much. What has Bama shown you to think they are all-world this year? They duked it out with West Virginia (80th in defense) and beat a hapless Florida team (85th in defense). Bama (26th SOS so far) has outscored their opponents 168-56 and Ole Miss (35th SOS so far) is at 156-34. Neither have played anyone and they are both currently beating the dogpiss out of whoever they play. History will always point to Bama winning the contest, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that a touchdown difference is easy money. It'll be close. The Ole Miss defense is really, really good. Only a fool would bet on any SEC West game at this point in this season. There is a lot of parity. There are two sides to football. Alabama has ridiculous offensive talent including the best receiver in the country. Mississippi probably has a good defense, but stopping the likes of Boise State (just got rolled by Air Force) and Memphis does not mean they'll do the same to Alabama. It's dumb to guarantee anything, but I'd be extremely surprised if you won. Like I said, I'd love to be wrong.

  3. SECRET WEAPON, THE PLAN IS FALLING INTO PLACE Seriously, we're going to get massacred
  4. I don't even watch their games. I still get angry when they win, but at least it's just for that few moments and not for 3 hours or whatever.

  6. Unless STL wins, this playoffs has the potential to be a lot of fun, which means STL will probably win. Fun fact, other than the Royals, STL has easily the worst 1st/2nd/3rd-order win percentages of any team in the playoffs.
  7. Just a pathetic game by Carolina in all phases. Next week will be a bloodbath.
  8. The Panthers' beat writer was nice enough to inform me on Twitter that Carolina's longest pass of the season - 37 yards - is well short of two different Steve Smith TD receptions for the Ravens this year, including one today. 101 yards and a score already for Smith today.
  9. Firing a coach mid-season is generally a bad idea, but I don't know what else UM can do with Hoke. They're getting bludgeoned by like the 7th best B1G team in their own place.
  10. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing those 14 points Arizona State gave up in like 45 seconds of game time will play a role in the outcome. #analysis
  11. There's not really a bad choice in the bunch there, but Jennings is probably the safest bet.
  12. I thought they were? Either way, they're awesome and there needs to be more of them. I believe they got the rooftops to agree to 3:05 Friday starts late last season and had a couple of them, then they were standard this year from basically May-August.
  13. Does authenticated mean subscribers to the channel that is locally broadcasting the game? If it doesn't mean that, I can't see it as anything but a bad thing for us. I really doubt MLBAM is broken up by 2020 It does mean subscribers to the channel.
  14. Philly Brown, good luck on the waiver wire
  15. wtf, you are only down 10 in the 3rd quarter, what is this 'needed' crap I'm very Sulleyish with the Panthers. Mike Tolbert is our only healthy RB and Cam can't run anymore because of his ankle and ribs. This is not going to be fun.
  16. After this week, Carolina goes @Ravens, Bears, @Bengals, @Packers, Seahawks, Saints, @Eagles, Falcons. Really, really needed to win this game.
  17. The Titans (and really the entire South save Indy) are terrible, but the Bengals look very legit so far.

  19. I'm leaning towards riding it out with Knile Davis today in a 14-team league as a flex, but I have DeAndre Hopkins too. Hope Charles doesn't turn out to have somehow gotten to 100% this week.
  20. It remains to be seen how or if the polls will affect the committee, but theoretically they will have nothing to do with the committee selections. I seriously doubt a 12-0 BYU were to get in unless there's carnage everywhere else.
  21. Ridiculous missed PI against Oregon helps them stop WSU and probably clinch the game. Ugh.
  22. then decided to kick a field goal because they definitely want to lose Managed to hold Oregon to one on the other end, though. They went for it and missed earlier, and missed a FG as well. They easily could be winning this game.
  23. Usually these upset bids are ground into dust by Oregon in the 3rd quarter, but Wazzu is driving for the tying score as the 4th starts. Hmmm.
  24. IU losing this on a hail mary after a stupid roughing the passer penalty would be pretty much the IU-est thing ever.
  25. Why did Bama even bother with Jake Coker? Blake Sims is throwing perfect balls all over the place.
