  1. Coincides exactly with when I dumped him in fantasy baseball with the exact goal of getting his bat going again
  2. There have been many worse Cubs teams I've watched but I'm struggling to come up with one that has consistently pissed me off this much. Maybe the tank Cubs when Edwin Jackson was at peak Edwin Jacksoning.
  3. The only surprising part of that was that Amaya didn't go passed ball again so Steele could have a no hitter going and still be losing. This team is so damn exasperating
  4. Well we did the extreme glove first outfielder already, had to mix it up
  5. It was in May against Atlanta. Been weeks.
  6. It'll be impressive if we win this game going against the Reds and Adrian Johnson
  7. Glad India didn't hit that just a shade harder for a bogus 2 run blooper
  8. Tauchman has to rank pretty high on best scrap-heap pickups in recent Cubs history. Boog tried to get "Captain Fullcount" going as a nickname for him early this season and I dig it. He's just a rock at the plate.
  9. You could probably get a slight something for Cody, but beyond that, not really.
  10. Bellinger first and foremost. Maybe Tauchman. Neris if you can find someone dumb enough (like the Cubs) to ignore his peripherals. I'm not sure who else doesn't fall under one or more of 1) too young for it to make sense to give up on, 2) too old or signed for too long to make sense to trade, or 3) sucks too bad to have any value. There might be a reliever in there somewhere that I'm missing.
  11. As well he and Madrigal should have. As has been beaten to death, Bote is very likely to continue to be a bad MLB hitter, but there's no point going glove-first with Mastro and Madrigal when neither of them are really any good with the glove.
  12. Agreed that innings reasons are a thing with Brown. They did say during his last start that his numbers are much better starting then relieving. I don't know how much of that is just noise, though.
  13. He couldn't just go down, he'd have to be DFA to open up a spot on the 40 man (unless there's a vacancy on it I'm unaware of)
  14. Alzolay seems like a logical move but Madrigal DFA would be a bigger relief
  15. Seiya horsefeathers something routine up in the field is all too believable. Saves me the trouble of watching any more of this one.
  16. Problem with that logic is PCA hit the ball and India is not a stupid moron, which you would've had to be to attempt to go to first on that particular ball when hit by a fast guy like PCA
  17. I sincerely hope the Cubs were not stupid enough to believe some manager voodoo is why the Brewers kicked their ass for the better part of a decade but the contract suggests they did
  18. In a tournament where the top 4 seeds are very unlikely to be the best 4 teams (because only conference champs get them), reseeding doesn't make much sense.
  19. He rounded third by about 15 feet on a slow ground ball single up the middle by PCA that only a brain dead squirrel would've thrown to first on (and therefore only a brain dead squirrel would've danced around in hopes of scoring on) and India made the easiest assist of his life to get him
  20. This horsefeathers team and their fake rallies.
