    Wesneski gives up a homer to the first batter a lot, it feels like. And of course it's a basket shot after like 3 Cubs balls were hit just as hard with no results.

    Someday the Cubs will hit a ball hard and it will be a base hit. That's a world I'd love to live in

    Pitchers are throwing Swanson the same pitches over and over and until he starts taking them to right field they're never going to stop.

    It's going to be darkly hilarious when Hendricks pitches 6 innings of shutout ball and we still lose 2-1 or whatever.

    And Wicks is injured. Just forfeit the damn season and hope people are healthy in 2025, honestly

    You know, this is a good comparison because Edwin Jackson is probably the Cub that most consistently pissed me off during his career and this team has consistently pissed me off a lot.

    I said last week or so, this is far from the worst Cubs team I've followed, but they've probably been the most adept at consistently pissing me off. Just day after day of completely wasting a great run of starting pitching.

    You'd think, but hitting with RISP isn't a repeatable skill and yet the Cubs manage to be bottom 10 in MLB an obscene amount of the time.

    I was about to make a snarky comment about him not hitting but he's actually been OK lately so maybe he is banged up.

    This is a fair point; we shouldn't be crapping on the entire bullpen when most of it has been OK. We should be saying, "Well, Hector Neris is obviously going to blow this one, or at least try his damnedest to."

    For as much as they are I don't see the point unless it's one you're pretty certain will never go out of style. I bought a Santo off eBay like 15 years ago that's still my only one. My wife has a Santo and a Rizzo.
