That was probably the highlight. Of course it wasn't entirely his fault the rest of the team was so freaking terrible.

Grand Slam vs. the Phillies in late August '08 Probably my favorite moment of the whole season, just because the team had so conditioned me to think they were going to erase any deficit that I almost assumed Aramis was going to hit a slam in that AB. And then he did.

Seriously, seriously doubt the Bulls would've trumped Dallas' offer for Rondo. Dallas overpaid.

The Bulls aren't winning until at least 2017-18, which is the first year after Rose's contract is up. The NBA is really dumb like that.

I briefly got excited about this, then realized that I'll be watching every non-ESPN/FOX game on MLBTV no matter what. That will take some getting used to.

Like, the mocks now? Because if that's the case, 8 of 160 really isn't that bad considering all the trades and stock changes that happen in 3 months.

I called him Conjoined Fetus Left Fielder when he played. The fact that he inexplicably became a solid major leaguer from nowhere at like age 26 made me irrationally annoyed.

plzplzplzplzplz Unless that pitcher happens to be Travis Wood, why would this be a thing we would want to have happen? Because the pitcher usually only bats twice (three times if you're lucky and he and/or the offense is doing well), after which point you're probably going to have hitters available to use in the 8th spot that are better than whoever your worst hitter in the lineup that day is.

I always appreciate the annual reminder that following ND basketball is a waste of time because they're not that good and never will be. Given that they've sucked ever since beating Duke, I can't say there weren't warning signs.

I could very easily be wrong, but I took that article to mean in-market streaming would be allowed (i.e. you could watch your local FSN games on MLB.TV if this went through), not a full-blown 'every FSN game included' situation.

Fowler noticeably improved (IMO) over the course of the season doing play by play and was pretty darn good in the title game. He's no Musburger but he's quite good. Rece Davis has been presiding over ESPN's Holtz and May pony show the last decade, dealing with Corso is going to be a freaking picnic by comparison.

I know more or less what goes on with ND because I follow a couple of the sites on Twitter. Blissfully ignorant of most of it.

No one has a sick grandmother or is flipping to an AAC school with no warning whatsoever. I'm not totally sure it's really Signing Day. Although that half hour when there was a report saying Brady Hoke was about to be an ND assistant was pretty funny.

The Patriots were literally in a position where they had to let Seattle run it in. So you [expletive] throw it. Serves me right for rooting for them for the first time in their entire run.

I think it would be more exciting to just get rid of the one point conversion. I agree. If they're so fired up to dump the PAT, just go with NFL Blitz rules and make it a free PAT or you can go for 2.

McDermott is back. He's played about 90 seconds in the 5 games since returning. Thibs doesn't trust him for whatever reason. He's not bad enough on either end of the floor, and he doesn't wear goggles. Case closed.

I'm really glad ND got them when they did on the schedule. Would want no part of them right now.
