  1. If we learned anything from Joe in the second half, it's that he'll yank a struggling pitcher. He'll go bullpen day to win this if he has to.
  2. Schwarber vs Pirates is #1. Basically clinched the game and was the most glorious dong ever. Bonus points that he called it weeks in advance. I think I'd give Soler last night maybe the slightest of edges over Castro last night because it was first pitch off Wainwright, but if you wanted to put Castro 2nd for the enormity of coming right back off the mat after Arrieta gave up 2 runs I wouldn't argue. All the others are tied for 4th most awesome.
  3. There will be dongs. We're winning this [expletive] tonight.
  4. We've been in Matheny's head for over a month. Grichuk when he couldn't throw, Molina when he can't hit, and now panic button with Lackey. I [expletive] LOVE IT
  5. We already beat the only team in baseball that might have been better than us. At this point it's just enjoying the ride and hoping the dice roll goes our way.
  6. I like it, do something different if you're going to do something. Everyone does towels.
  7. go game 1 and he can be available for game 5 on normal rest and game 7 bullpen on 2 days. The correct answer, go full Bumgarner with him
  8. Even if we assume USC doesn't circle the wagons and come together to play the game of their lives against ND this weekend, the Irish could get to 10-1 and have their best 2 wins be Temple and Navy. They're playing for a New Year's 6 bowl at this point, essentially no chance at the playoff unless maybe they beat a 10-1 Stanford by 40 points the last week of the season. [expletive] Clemson game.
  9. The wind blowing out is basically the worst possible thing to happen for STL. Arrieta has been masterful in keeping the ball down all season and there's little reason to think it'll change now. If we hit as many dongs as we ought to this evening Arrieta might not even need to go 9.
  10. I had the best team in my league and had Charles. I can probably survive but that really sucks. Also sucks just because he's an awesome football player
  11. As if Mets fans aren't pissed enough
  12. Ohio State is the only other team in a similar boat and they at least have a couple of semi dominating performances. MSU has none of those. They've played exactly nobody so far, and their only good win, the reason they shot up the polls to begin with, is being devalued by the week. They're lucky they're as high as they are, Florida and A&M should be ahead of them.
  13. So USC coach Steve Sarkisian has been placed on indefinite leave, likely for the rest of the season. Reading between the lines of reports, it sounds like he showed up to work piss drunk today. Alcohol problem has resurfaced

  15. I'm friends with a Bears fan that is totally in the tank for him and is mildly annoyed that the Bears are probably not bad enough to take him at #1.
  16. If I were you I would probably go Tuesday. But Monday is going to be fun as [expletive]. No loser in that decision.
  17. There's no reason it should. We've kicked the asses of both their pitchers in these games and in one we have the guy having the greatest stretch in the history of the sport. I expect to win this series at Wrigley. And it will be [expletive] glorious.
  18. It's entirely possible no one is good. Seriously, has anyone really stood out this year?
  19. Two tattooed balls and they get outs
  20. The BFIB will never shut the [expletive] up for the rest of our lives if they sweep this stupid series
