  1. ND is in at 11-1 if Oklahoma and Oklahoma State lose sometime in the next 2 weeks, or if Michigan wins out. If OU wins out I get worried. (I have to root for Michigan, what the hell is this)
  2. Not before the Pac 12 refs desperately tried to help with a ridiculous PI call on Oregon. ND's SOS going down in flames today. I'm going to be cursing those [expletive] drops and fumbles at Clemson forever.
  3. I didn't think it was in doubt.
  4. They're 5-5 and haven't played anyone good in the East except Ohio State. They suck.
  5. It was 7-3 when I posted that and it was late 2nd quarter. I knew OSU was going to pull away because Illinois sucks, but it gets annoying seeing them just able to sleepwalk through half the game against everyone they play.
  6. Ohio State has played 10 mediocre to bad teams and has pulled this half-ass garbage in like 8 of those games. That's what life is like when you give yourself a 3 game season.
  7. Yet another coaching change https://twitter.com/GabeDeArmond/status/665275049172045824 ETA: Apparently he was diagnosed with lymphoma in May. Said that he decided before the last week's events that it would be his last season.
  8. I thought Oklahoma State would be 4 this week. Any unbeaten Big 12 team is getting in, ultimately. The whole point of expanding to 4 (in my view) was to ensure any unbeaten Power 5 school would always get a shot at the title.
  9. Yup, this is where the Big 12 canabilizes itself so that no one makes the playoffs, while a 2 loss Michigan team wins the Big Ten and claims the 4th spot  Absolute chaos would have to reign, but UM could still get in. I think Michigan will win out (and hopefully open up a playoff spot for ND in the process) so that MSU loss might end up stinging even more.
  10. Bump since this is the actual thread for this week so it doesn't get lost.
  11. There was an SB Nation article a while back, and I swear I'd link it if I could find it, that said Alabama played like the 2nd-best single game by several advanced stats in the last 25 years against Notre Dame. That game was far more about Bama than anything else, but as usual no one cared about that when there was an opportunity to call an ND team fraudulent - never mind that Bama basically did the exact same thing to LSU a year prior and no one was calling the Tigers a fraud then. I'm not even all that high on this ND team - I think they're very good, not sure about great - but talking 'eye test' about them is ludicrous. No one was talking 'eye test' when Bama had to score in the final 2 minutes to beat [expletive] Tennessee.
  12. And, if they were to finish 11-1, would possess wins over #10, #14 & #17 in the S&P+ rankings while having played #1 to essentially standstill on the road despite innumerable fumbles and dropped passes in a hurricane. (They themselves are currently #6 in S&P+)
  13. Other than the fact that they score like 35 points per game, have only really "escaped" twice (once after their QB broke his ankle during the game), and are more talented pretty much across the board than that team was, yeah, exactly the same.
  14. Definitely Hurns if he plays.
  15. Who has the 30 seconds button? DirecTV remote does. I assume it's not the only one
  16. The 30 seconds button is a godsend. I generally go 8x on that then just jump back when I see the show is back
  17. I didn't even realize this, but this was actually true in 2 different leagues heading into this week, although it wasn't a 'far and away' situation in both.

  19. 27-7 Panthers at the half and GB is lucky it isn't 34-7. What in the world is going on
  20. Yes, and no. I still had to manually alter a quote yesterday to post it right. Otherwise, it's a much-improved update though. Looks like quoting works.
  21. I don't think it will happen, but Utah is lurking. If they win out I don't see how they get left out.
  22. I think Michigan beats Ohio State. That would likely open up a playoff spot, so that'd be cool with me.
  23. And if Alabama were to lose, it'd be the same thing. They would have ZERO wins over ranked teams provided A&M loses. The loser of this game should be out either way
  24. I don't even mind if Alabama or some other SEC team gets in. But LSU has one win over a ranked team and probably won't get another since A&M is currently getting pantsed by Auburn. I don't want them hanging around closely enough to convince some mouth breathers that they should be in anyway.
  25. If Alabama is going to do this, they'd better just kick LSU's ass. If they screw around and let LSU lose close so we hear about how LSU deserves to be in the playoff with 1 good win on their resume, I'm going to lose it
