  1. I definitely watch enough games (West Coast games in particular after my wife has fallen asleep) that I will keep the full subscription.
  2. This, and I like getting rid of draft caps/tying draft funds to place in standings. There are plenty of incentives to go full Astros and punt seasons as it is and MLB needn't be creating more. That's pretty funny. The only reason I didn't say Cubs (and any reader of this board knows I did my share of pissing and moaning about the 2012-14 seasons) is because they at least had decent-size payrolls. Houston's payroll was ludicrous for a couple of years there.
  3. Damn. That's impressive. I used to work there and put away 13 once, but felt like I wanted to die afterwards.

  5. Late February or so, I think - right before the first televised spring training games.
  6. I have no idea if this was the case before - I don't think it was - but the mobile site is so much better now. Automatically resizes to the screen it's on, which I don't recall it doing before. So I appreciate that.
  7. I love baseball the way it is. If anything, I'd enforce a hard 45 second limit on replay decisions. If you don't see anything in 45 seconds to overturn a call, it automatically stands.
  8. All 3 are awesome. I'd rank them waffles by a nose over French toast, then pancakes.
  9. All of that looks excellent. My only question: MLBTV usually auto-renews at the previous year's price, which I haven't ever opted out of. I wonder if I have to opt out of the auto-renew to get the lower price or not.
  10. I feel like at some point Carolina has to answer for the fact that their best WR is Ted Ginn Jr. but it hasn't happened yet. Their biggest flaw seems to be that they only kick people's asses for 2.5 out of 4 quarters and they don't do well with 30-point leads. I expect a close shootout, but thin Carolina secondary or no, Carson Palmer will have to be better than he was last week for that to happen.
  11. User preferences apparently aren't saving. Came here an hour ago, changed preferences, and came back to find they had reverted.
  12. NE is going to beat Denver by probably 17, maybe more, and they're not even that good.
  13. That was the 4th time this year that Carolina was destroying an opponent and had to hold on for dear life. Next week maybe just go up by 14 points.
  14. This game ended when Maclin got hurt last week.
  15. I really wish I could watch him more often.
  16. That seems to be the scuttlebutt, that he likes Kaepernick.
  17. I'd never heard of this guy before he was hired, but getting to that height in an on-air career with CP is [expletive] impressive, so good for him
  18. The cool kids all hate Schilling, but on air Kruk sucked far more. Glad to see him go. Should be a much more entertaining product now.
  19. NFL owners approved the Rams' move to L.A. by a 30-2 vote. Rams moving. The Chargers have a year to negotiate a deal to join them, after which the Raiders can move there instead, though indications right now are they will remain in Oakland.
  20. Pretty much every good player for Clemson not named Watson is either out or well below 100%. Herculean effort by Watson tonight.
  21. There's a different Saban rumor every year. He's a [expletive] god in Alabama. He gets to pick which 25 (or more if he feels like it) of the best HS players in the nation he wants to have on his team every year. His employer basically gives him infinite money as pay, as well as infinite money to hire whomever he wants and however many people he wants. No one cares if his players are functionally illiterate or commit a crime (although, to be fair, he seems to have less of the latter than many in his position might) because he loses 1 game a year. He'd be a moron to leave.
  22. Cespedes got it written into his A's contract that he wouldn't receive a QO
  23. Wut? Carolina. Their path has to be one of the hardest for a #1 seed I've ever seen. Just venting mostly, I think they're better than Seattle, but that game will be a dogfight.
  24. 15-1, #1 seed, and the reward is having to beat the 2 time NFC champs, the hottest team in the league and the greatest QB/coach ever to win the Super Bowl. NE, meanwhile, gets KC without their best offensive player, then either an injury-decimated Steelers team, at home, or a decrepit Peyton Manning. That's fair.
  25. Lewis, Burfict and Jones might as well be fired/cut tonight.
