That was too bad, but it got us into their pen an inning earlier.

Why the hell is Matt Cain kicking our ass? How is he still even in the game after throwing 50 pitches in the first 2 or whatever?

First start all year to not go 5 innings. Hope our guys' looks at their pen last night pay off today.

    Javy got Javy'd at second

    This game sucks.

    Christ, Lester
  7. Andy
    It wasn't.

because Ross is a boss at the throw behinds Right. But I mean get a bigger lead and steal. You get much bigger a lead though, and Lester can almost underhand the ball over. Now why they don't just run with their huge leads, I don't know.

The last 2 were, I felt like ball 1 was a strike

I don't know if I've ever seen Rizzo play without the long sleeves under the jersey. Throws me off.

Yes. The Heyward news is outstanding. I never thought I'd be so happy that someone hitting so poorly isn't seriously hurt.

I hope so. Without a major emotional interest, baseball games are boring as hell. There is almost literally nothing they can do to change that. They can make it marginally less 'boring', but this sport consists of very little actual action and that's just the way it is. That said, I'm not against either proposed resolution, although I agree it probably won't help pace of game.

I adore that you could absolutely hear a smattering of Cubs fans singing Go Cubs Go there after the final out
  14. Andy
Or any game really. What is this, 24 consecutive Arrieta starts that we've won? I think it's 22
  15. Andy
They were talking about it after the Zobrist dong already.
  16. Andy
Well that was a fun minute or two. Soler has looked awesome at the plate today

That is some kind of noodle arm

I imagine they'll ride Rat Boy and Javy in a platoon at third with Bryant in LF and Soler in RF. Szczur will be back soon too. Not much point in a rental. if soler and javy suck at the plate, there will be a point. Soler frankly can't really suck any worse than he has, and Javy doesn't need to be good at the plate because he's amazing on defense.

Well horsefeathers he gave up a run

All things considered that's not horrible news at all on Heyward. Hopefully he's back in July.
  22. Andy
Haha, yeah, what a tease that was. Sprained knee my ass
  23. Andy
We'll end up with at least 7 and possibly 8. Rondon will get in during the wave of injury/Sunday pitcher defections. I would hope Russell gets in there too.
  24. Andy
Someday Heyward will be good at the plate
  25. Andy
(I have no idea if that gets out at another park, but I'm gonna say it anyway)
