  1. No one wears 19 presently - wonder why Murton decided not to go with it.
  2. ND went from slightly better than 50/50 to make the tournament (my opinion) to tied for most wins in ACC play in just under a week. Pretty good stretch.
  3. It has to be they haven't planned out their games yet Pretty sure they go month-by-month with those decisions. Maybe even bi-weekly.
  4. Yep, multiple HD streams going at once in our house is an issue. Also, 4K and its successor are coming soon. Data caps are being implemented in a lot of areas. There's no free lunches in media consumption. Eventually, costs are going to rise a good bit on streaming if everyone transitions over to that. Bingo. Once cord cutting becomes the majority, the companies in charge of it will inevitably be able to get away with charging close to as much as cable + Internet currently costs for most people even if the bandwidth doesn't actually cost that much. (I admit I don't know all the particulars of the recent FCC net neutrality ruling, and if there's some provision in there that would prevent such a thing, feel free to call me an idiot.)
  5. The silver lining is that since Hoiberg is incompetent, maybe the Bulls can fall out of the playoffs and get a lottery ball. If you're going to willfully downgrade your coach without even the slightest major personnel change, you might as well benefit that way.
  6. that's just an inevitability that should be incorporated into their gameplan Agreed, I knew he would probably drop one - I was just hoping it wouldn't be a big one. Cotchery's drops were huge too. Cam was crappy, but he didn't get much help.
  7. Yes, he did, and as usual much too much is being made out of it. It wasn't a good look, but I'm sure he felt 100 times worse than I did, and if I'd had to address the media after that game for some reason, I'd have been pretty pissy too. There were basically 4 things that had to happen for Carolina to lose that game and they had all happened by midway through the third quarter, which is when I knew they were going to lose: - Defensive score (Von fumble TD) - Some sort of special teams disaster (That stupid horsefeathering punt return where our idiot players didn't know it wasn't a fair catch, and Gano clanking the FG [what the hell is it with Carolina kickers and the Super Bowl?]) - Offensive line completely unable to give Cam any time at all - A key drop by Ginn (which, in a lovely turn of events, directly led to an INT) Any of those 4 things doesn't happen and the game could've easily flipped, but they all did. Carolina's defense essentially gave up 2 field goals that were their fault and the other 18 points were either gifts or the Broncos defense being awesome.
  8. I thought it was Heyward for a second.
  9. I was going to post the same thing. I had a Murton love that bordered on the creepy.
  10. It shouldn't be a surprise given Lester and Heyward especially, but to see us so far ahead in the free agent listing is not something I expected. Also, 4.7 WAR higher than anyone else in baseball, so there's that
  11. It really shouldn't, but for whatever reason the fact that Carolina seems like a prohibitive favorite by most prognosticators is making me nervous.

    NFL Offseason

I don't think its' more. They are just splitting them differently. There may be more late season Saturday games. Correct. Instead of 8 CBS/8 NFLN-only, it's now 5 CBS/5 NBC/6 NFLN, plus Saturday/etc games. So this is probably a net positive, as it means less Nantz/Simms.

    NSD 2016

I don't follow recruiting very closely, but can't remember the last time so much of ND's class was riding on the last few days. Demetris Robertson and Ben Davis are both super-elite talents that are up for grabs, though I guess the scuttlebutt on Davis is he's probably Georgia-bound. One can only hope both are super-impressed by programs with big-ass buses they drive everywhere.
  14. Where is Kyle anyway? There's an uneasy lack of conflict these days.
  15. Around here, it seems like everyone eats huevos rancheros or breakfast burritos. As for the topic, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three, but I'd choose french toast if pressed. Breakfast food is just generally awesome. it really is we shouldn't fight over this, lets be more inclusive I always picture the sweets when going out to breakfast but end up ordering something egg based. I could eat omelets 3 meals a day. There's basically no breakfast food I wouldn't love.
  16. A friend of mine works for a similar site that covers Pittsburgh sports, but they only have 1 writer per team and the price is like $2 per month. What I'm saying is this site is going to be a disaster.
  17. Maybe. Everyone thought New England was going to kill Denver too. Denver's D really impressed me today. I knew it was great, but they way they were able to consistently get to Brady was really impressive. I think Carolina is certainly playing extremely well and should definitely be the favorites but I'm not counting Denver out at this point. I'm about as confident as one could reasonably be about my team right now, but I was 100% certain New England was going to drill Denver. Dawson is right that if Manning is able to play an adequate game as he did yesterday, the Broncos have a chance.
  18. Davis being seriously hurt, which it looked like he was, really sucks. Everything else is pretty damn cool, though.
  19. If fries need ketchup, they're bad fries.
  20. You millennials and your cord cutting. (I'd do it too, but we live so far from the local OTA stations that we don't even get them, except for Fox.)
  21. Almost have to wonder why the hell they bothered with Blatt in the first place after LBJ came back.
  22. If a waffle isn't delicious without butter and syrup, you're doing it wrong. Agreed. I like a little butter on a waffle, but if it's good I can eat it without any syrup.
  23. What a bunch of tools. Yeah, the Cubs are going to sell beer at cheap prices. The fact that beer prices at Wrigley have shot up like 70% in the last decade or whatever it is has just been a smokescreen to this secret plan. Idiots.
  24. Over medium eggs are great, but I'll eat the horsefeathers out of scrambled eggs too. I could eat 10 eggs in a sitting. Maybe my favorite food.
  25. Don't get it, but whatever.
