  1. The AFC, meanwhile, will pit Brandon Weeden, Alex Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brock Osweiler and AJ McCarron against the Patriots for a Super Bowl bid. My team will almost certainly have to beat 2 of Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers and Carson Palmer to get there. This strikes me as lame.
  2. CMU's coach resigned last year to be a coordinator at Arkansas, and 2 other small conference schools have followed that path since 2013, but it's still unusual. What Lembo and CMU's coach have in common is that they were probably on thin ice the following year if they had stayed.
  3. Not a personal rant, but oh my God, a semifinal in my league just ended in a tie because Stafford took those knees.
  4. I was wildly, absurdly, incredibly wrong about him as an NFL player. Not saying he will do it, but he could win a Super Bowl more or less by himself the way he is playing.
  5. Josh Norman might literally have driven Odell Beckham insane today. Beckham was acting like a pissed off teenager most of the game including launching one of the dirtiest headshots I've ever seen on Norman.
  6. Lots of SEC in that list. The league's move to get into Texas looks more shrewd all the time.
  7. it still amazes me that he went from completely washed up trash that all of us were pissed about them signing to somehow donging all over the place and putting up a 900 OPS We were all pissed that Hendry was doing anything he could to block Felix Pie and then he put up a OPS in Chicago that would've led the league if taken by itself. It was like we'd stolen the pixie dust formula. That was fun.
  8. Sumlin is now saying Murray will be at practice tomorrow. Very strange times in College Station.
  9. I haven't listened to the radio in my car outside of Cubs games basically ever. Google Play music did, however, remove the functionality of picking up right where it left off on the most recent update, which is annoying.
  10. Wait, he's married and has a kid? Count me as knowing neither of those things.
  11. Baseball (and really any sports) jerseys are so damn expensive that I can't imagine buying one for a current player unless he's a slam dunk legend. I ended up just getting a Santo when I finally did get one because I wanted to make sure it would always be relevant.
  12. Being undefeated is fun. Let's keep doing that.
  13. I was paying attention in 2013 and have never heard that name in my entire life.
  14. Getting a good piece like Warren makes me feel better about signing Zobrist.
  15. 4/56 strikes me as way too damn much for Zobrist. Maybe I'm overly attached to Castro but given their ages are we really looking at THAT huge a difference between their next 4 years?
  16. Obviously his service time was being manipulated, but once he was in AAA to start the season, what exactly should the Cubs have done after Olt's injury to make it look less transparent? Play Buckethead Herrera at third for 2 weeks?
  17. In a weird way I almost prefer the Cubs' history to rooting for teams that won a bunch before I was old enough to enjoy it and now don't as much. It would be nice if they had stumbled into a title somewhere in there though, just so mouth-breathing idiots couldn't crack 1908 jokes all the time and we didn't hear stories about 85 year old grandparents dying without seeing a title.

  19. They would have been in anyway. That ridiculous play just freed the committee from being hypocrites about the importance of conference titles.
  20. I think it's $6 million the ACC, who employs all those officials, gets when Clemson gets into the playoff. So Clemson vs Oklahoma and MSU vs Bama is pretty much a lock, I assume. Are you assuming Clemson drops to 2 or MSU jumps OU? The latter. I'd actually have MSU at 2 (they have FOUR better wins than Alabama's best one), but that's irrelevant.
  21. One of the tightest Heisman decisions in a while. Watson, Henry, McCaffrey all deserving, and Dalvin Cook is as good as any of them. McCaffrey should win it, Henry will win it. I would agree on both counts.

  23. 22 PLAYS! Unbelievable.
