    I turned the game off, fed up, at 3-0. I tried and of course failed to put together a changing table in the interim. Then I turned it on at 4-3. And it's all going down in horsefeathering flames again

    I remember the Mother's Day game where I was absolutely positive the Cubs would win, it was just a matter of who would do it. Last night I went to bed following the 10th knowing they'd lose. Incredible how things have turned this drastically.

    On the one hand, I would think it's probably harder to make adjustments when MLB games are being played, but then Fowler made adjustments last year and turned into a terrifying force of nature for the next 11 months. So I don't know why we couldn't.

    Michigan is taking a $2M bath on the Arkansas series, didn't manage to get the even-year game at home (so they have to go to Columbus and South Bend in the same year again) and even allowed their home game to be played in late October in 2019, against the B1G's general doctrine of 'not distracting from league games'. (Presumably ND wanted it there because they're already playing @ Georgia in Sept. 2019.) I like all those things, of course, but it's interesting that UM seems to have bent over backwards to this degree to make this work. Funnily enough, Arkansas is now stuck without a 2018 and '19 Power 5 non-conference opponent to satisfy the SEC requirement to play one. Can't believe they're thrilled with the timing of this.

    The Bulls are far more interesting to me now than they ever were last year and arguably more than at any time since Rose's knee exploded.

    No they can't. They haven't been very good behind and late. The Travis Wood game in Milwaukee was the last time we won a game after trailing at the end of the 6th, I believe.
