Carlos Quentin. I will never in my life see a more weakly hit ball get out of a park, and I watch a lot of Wrigley wind games.

Melky can't field his way out of a wet paper bag, so that makes total sense.

If he actually felt crummy he wouldn't play. I'm guessing Joe just wants to ease him into things and sees this as an easy opportunity. And in the US Cellular bandbox, Contreras in left probably isn't much of an issue anyway.

Sox fans are seriously the weirdest. Do you guys think Angels and Mets fans obsess over things like this and consider all the attention the other team gets a slight like this? I literally had no idea Wil Cordero ever had a domestic violence incident before reading this post (I was also 11 when the Sox signed him)
