  1. He always starts slow. Until we signed him he didn't horsefeathering suck all the way through June.
  2. Really wish we'd had another option there besides Heyward.
  3. Javy being on pace for 16 or 17 dongs without even playing everyday is not something I would've guessed. Even more so when coupled with him not being completely otherwise useless at the plate.
  4. The offense has really gone to horsefeathers since the Bryant homer
  5. Sounds like a smart decision. I have to say, I don't root for anyone to be injured, but it would be slightly satisfying if the Cubs slug their way to a World Series title while the Mets miss the playoffs because all their young talented pitchers get hurt, because of the rebuild with hitters or pitchers dynamic. I'm not rooting for any injuries either, but I know a meathead Mets fan, and that's enough for me to somewhat enjoy it if everything goes to hell for them.
  6. They give it up for the whole game. Pinch hitters after Bumgarner leaves. Same as if someone subs for the DH in a regular AL game.
  7. That makes sense. I still wonder what happens when Fowler and Soler are ready. I have a feeling Coghlan isn't long for this team.
  8. Citing Pythagorean when the Cubs are like 5-6 games under their Pythagorean is...interesting.
  9. I just want Joe to subtweet the crap out of the Reds postgame. "You know, I understand they were upset. Their season has been over for months and they lost three times in a row to a better team."
  10. The Reds thought they could run on Willson. That's cute.
  11. Hendricks had 110 pitches after 6 and is still going.
  12. I'm not sure why Hendricks took the AB other than to try and give as many days the whole day as possible, but a hell of a squeeze.
  13. I don't think the FO is trying to turn Javy into a high-walks guy, as they seemed to try with Castro. I think they just want him to learn not to swing at pitches that aren't even close. I don't know if that's teachable either, but it's not a dramatic shift in approach.
  14. Slow grounder to 2B, Javy charged it hard, lunged to make the tag on Votto, did a 270 degree spin and while going down threw a strike to Rizzo to get the guy at first. Yeah, I forgot to mention the 270-degree spin.
  15. Somehow managed to tag the runner going past him on a grounder and throw the hitter out at 1st basically in one motion.
  16. Picture the Schwarber/Fowler play, except instead of a collision it was the ball deflecting off the CF and hitting Hamilton in the head.
  17. Boy, right in the side of the head. That's rough.
  18. Javy pimped the living horsefeathers out of that. Haha
