  1. Because Ricketts had no money for Bryce Harper
  2. I swear I feel like he saves these stupid plays for national TV so people underestimate him, or something.
  3. Haha that was awesome base blocking work by Descalso
  4. Chatwood is doing a hell of a job and deserves a W
  5. Like 5 pitches that AB were extremely hittable and he did jack with them. Why the hell is he here
  6. Wild pitch, error, anything Russell can't take credit for would be just dandy
  7. Chatwood can handle the bat, I smell a walk off
  8. That was remarkably poor effort from Aguilar unless he really is that slow
  9. Jesus Christ Almora. I swear he has cement shoes
  10. Incredible take by Bote. But that means the game is down to Almora. Almost rather he swung.
  11. Counsell really does manage every series against us like the World Series. I don't think there's any doubt Hader comes back out if we aren't playing them tomorrow.
  12. That fake rally wasn't fake enough, I suspect we'll see a better one later
  13. This is the part where we give up a bunch of runs so Milwaukee doesn't even have to use Hader
  14. If that. Counsell loves to deploy Hader like it's a World Series game against us whenever he can.
  15. It never ceases to amaze me how slow Almora is
  16. Welp, hope the 2-7 hitters can carry the load today [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. The Cubs just keep riding that wave... Next up, though, isn't just some podunk Marlins team. It's the Vaunted Brewers. We keep waiting for these guys to go away. And they don't. The Cubs will send (2017-18) Brewer-killer Jose Quintana to the mound. Last time he faced Milwaukee, he felt like he needed to fit in with the rest of the disastrous team and did so sparklingly well. Now, with the Super Cubs seemingly back, it's time to stop effing around. Go CUBS !
  18. I forgot what a horsefeathering baller Mike Montgomery is
  19. It doesn't seem like a coaching issue. For one thing, we've changed pitching coaches since last year, and for another, no one else on the staff seems to be consistently having this problem except Edwards (whose issues go back to when Bosio was pitching coach); even Chatwood has been a little better in that department.
