  1. That cheap piece of horsefeathers knock ruined this whole inning
  2. Ah. He played 50 games for us in 2009. Good catch.I saw him homer at Wrigley Field once, so I'll never forget him.
  3. Would have been cool if Jeter could have done awful trades outside of the NL (besides Stanton). He tried to give Stanton to the NL, too, Stanton just wouldn't let him.
  4. It feels like every time it gets a little too obvious how much Lester is outperforming his peripherals, he has to get bombed like this immediately.
  5. Many types of wins in baseball, but 'team comes through to rescue a dog horsefeathers game from ending in dog horsefeathers fashion' is a pretty sweet one.
  6. I keep forgetting Theo flushed $20M down the horsefeathering toilet by signing the most brittle pitcher in history. I still don't understand what the hell that was about, especially after incredible and vital 7+ out saves from his closers in consecutive playoffs heading into that off-season, saves Morrow plainly was never, ever going to be able to get. Ugh, now I'm level 5 pissed all over again at that
  7. Big picture this is most likely a blip, but we aren't better enough than Milwaukee to let games like this get away too often, and we've done it several times already.
  8. The Cubs lacked an every-game-matters urgency last year, the solution is to watch them take leads into the late innings and have the bullpen horsefeathers itself over and over again while the guys in charge do little to nothing about it
  9. Jesus we can't even hold leads for an inning anymore
  10. This is a bit in the rear-view mirror now, but it seems they at first thought there might have been fan interference, determined there wasn't, then Kapler argued for the review that it was a ground-rule double, which it was.
  11. Extensions and inevitable mid-market FA signings, yes. If the Cubs know/knew money was coming next year, it's really stupid that they didn't make any real additions to the roster.
  12. Javy out again tonight. The streak of not having our full roster available to us continues.
  13. Yu was great, and he should've had 6 shutout innings had we not apparently decided to have Russell play 20 feet from third base for that easy ground ball with 2 outs in the 6th.
  14. He was never getting through those 3 without giving up something. Stupid horsefeathering cheap ass Philly hits early were the difference
  15. It's Costas and Girardi. It's brutal I actually don't mind Girardi. He's much better than Smoltz IMO Recency bias perhaps but Girardi wasn't making a heck of a lot of sense Saturday night in my opinion.
  16. What the horsefeathers is he doing here if he can't get routine grounders or beat out plays like that or drive in a runner from 3rd with 1 out?
  17. He got a routine grounder to end the inning and Russell's stupid ass wasn't there to make the play. Shouldn't have walked the 2 guys, but he got hosed.
  18. Captain Obvious but this is far and away my favorite Yu start to date. Dude looks to be in total command right now.
