  1. I may be wrong but I don't think a USC loss will help ND. It will take up another at large. Also if they do lose, will they move down any furthur than 2? It's a nonconference game, so as long as USC beats UCLA next week they will still win the Pac 10 and get the automatic bid. Will they drop past PSU with a loss? I dunno, but I would like to find out. And Ronnie makes a good point as well that I forgot about completely. :) As did I. So really if USC losses, Oregon will be the main team getting screwed? It seems so. Kind of sucks to be a Duck fan right now. They're going to be passed over for a BCS game for little more than the fact that ND and OSU have more fans.
  2. The worse Leinart plays the more likely his teammate Bush wins the Heisman. If he plays well Vince Young will win the Heisman thanks to the split ballot principle.

I can't see USC falling below 2 in the BCS if they lose this one as long as they don't look too bad doing it. Even so I think O$U would be the odd man out and not ND in that situation, even though that's kind of unfair to the Buckeyes. Haha, just a little. Although O$U getting shafted is far from a terrible thing. I agree. :D If Fresno can stop SC from scoring before the half it would be a huge boost. They kill you with those late in the half scoring drives. Kinda hilarious that the one Dog defender tossed Reggie's shoe in the air.

  6. I hate that I don't get Comcast SportsNet in Muncie. Although having FSN Midwest (STL) might pay off for a few Cubs/Cards games later.
  7. TD!!! Fantastic throw by Pinegar! 21-10 Fresno!!!!!
  8. Another 1st down. Dogs are looking really good if they can go up 21-10. SC gets the ball back in the 2nd half right?
  9. It is still 14-10 but Fresno is driving.
  10. I will not jump on an upset bandwagon too early... I WILL NOT jump on an upset bandwagon too early...
  11. Great stand by Fresno to force a FG attempt. And it's good. 14-10 Dogs.
  12. Penn State going to the title game after 3 or 4 years of calls for JoePa's head would be one of the greatest stories in the history of college football IMHO.
  13. Miami now may play in the Fiesta instead of OSU. Depends on which game is more attractive. ND/Miami would stir up some real memories for many fans :D That would be awesome, but I'd be shocked if Miami got to the BCS. At this point they would probably need a VT loss to UNC and then to beat FSU in the ACC title game if that happened.
  14. Fresno tonight might be your best shot. Wouldn't that be something to see JoePa go for the National title. I'd root full bore for PSU if that happened. No offense to Texas.
  15. Fresno is about to go up 14-7 over USC whether this call is overturned or not. (Ball's either in or at the 1)
  16. Of all the good teams in the ACC, if FSU somehow beats VT in the ACC title game, that conference will probably get only one bid to the BCS thanks to ND and O$U.
  17. Georgia Tech wins. Wow. Va Tech/FSU for the ACC title.
  18. aS I said before, there's a huge range in the quality of game orton could have. Most likely, he's no good and the bears lose by a significant margin. I don't think anyone is saying the bears are the favorite here. Vegas certainly isn't. When I made my NFL picks this week, I was marveling at the fact that two division leaders (Cincy and Chicago) are home dogs this week. You almost never see that this late in the season. Two division leaders as dogs, or Cincy and Chicago as those teams? :D Both! :D
  19. Miami's punt returner randomly decides to pick up the ball on the one yard line instead of letting it bounce in the endzone and the Canes end up nine yards further back. Genius move pal. Of course the Canes immediately get 13 yards so it may not matter.

  21. Or would it be a tie UCLA, USC, Oregon all 1 loss. Oregon lost to USC USC lost to UCLA With no tiebreaker between UCLA and Oregon would they tie, or would the USC game be a tiebreaker? A Possible 3 way tie? I remember Raisin saying that Oregon would have the tie breaker over both. I have no idea why, unless the Pac-10's tiebreaker is something stupid like the Big 10's system of "Whoever has gone the longest without going to the Rose Bowl gets it".
  22. Raisin, can't the Bruins still send Oregon to a Pac-10 title by beating SC next week?
  23. Props are due to George O'Leary. Last season Central Florida was the worst team in the country, and the only I-A team to go winless. This year, they went from the MAC to C-USA (an upgrade in difficulty) and stand at 7-3 (6-1) and have already clinched a berth in the first C-USA title game. Way to go George. And thanks for lying on your resume.
  24. For the record I had USC by four TDs in this game.
  25. Va Tech goes to the ACC title game.
