I don't think they've given up - they are just being physically destroyed. If you run on 3rd and 9 when you're down 20 late in the 3rd, you've given up. I don't care where on the field you are.

3rd and 9 and Carolina runs. They're openly giving up on this game. I'm sorry, Steve Smith. Someone - ANYONE - on this team should have stepped up, but nothing. This is a terribly depressing way to lose - with no one on your team including the coaches seemingly even perturbed by it.

Haha, every relatively highly regarded recruit who commits to a MAC school is going to be the next Ben Roethlisberger or the next Omar Jacobs. The guy's got as many tools as Jacobs if not more. Don't hate.

Now even the most blind faith people can be convinced. Carolina's come out and just completely folded.

Two scores is one more than the biggest deficit that Carolina has overcome this year. Look it up - Carolina's pretty much led wire to wire in almost all of their wins.

Ball State managed to pull a commitment from the 31st ranked QB in the nation, Nate Davis. Jason Whitlock, who is a Ball State alumnus and posts on BSUfans.com, called him "our Omar Jacobs". With 19 returning starters and Brady Hoke pulling in money class after money class, it could be a great season for BSU. :)

Well it'll be Seattle/Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. I want to hope, but our offense has looked completely inept.

Interesting call by Holmgren - a missed/blocked FG was much more likely there than an INT by Hasselbeck.

I ask that about Dan Henning all the time. Except he doesn't have the NFL MVP in his backfield, he has an over-the-hill guy/an injury-prone guy/a crappy guy/an even crappier guy in the backfield.

We'll take it. Bad call picking it up. Smith didn't need the help to begin with and it was a dumb play by Vinny. But at least we're alive.
