I always like the Olympics. I remember practically having a conniption when that Korean purposely yanked Ohno down in the short track final to give the gold medal to that Aussie who'd been in last the whole race.

Just realized that ND's win over Rutgers was by 27, and the aggregate total of their Big East defeats were by 26. Further, their other Big East win was by 15 so they have outscored conference opponents by 16 despite being 2-8.

In all logic, this should be the case, as Neifi by himself could at least hang close enough to Spivey's stats that Walker and Hairston drive the average numbers over it. However, stranger things have happened to Cardinal players.

The bolded part seems to make it pretty clear that he does know about the draft pick exchange. Big win for the Bulls tonight. Now they need to win one more out of these last two, at least.

Look out. NOTRE DAME WINS A BIG EAST GAME. Unbelievable. Rather easily too. 90-63 over Rutgers. Hopefully, this plus a severely weak schedule the rest of the way (only @UConn looks extremely tough of the remaining games) equals to a Big East tournament berth.

They did you one favor. Stevens fumbled. And Holmgren is trying to cover up his own horrendous coaching job. Between not giving Shaun the ball enough and botching two end-of-the-half drives beyond belief, that might have been the single worst coaching job in the history of the Super Bowl with only the Don Shula "come on, they're just an AFL team" job approaching it. Nevertheless, you guys will be roaring back again next season, Alexander or no Alexander.

It was hard for us to take your injuries too seriously when guys like John Rodriguez and Abraham O. Nunez and So Taguchi immediately jumped in and hit .280+ and outperformed not only just about every other bench player in the league, but also many starters. OK, but I just showed where the loss of Rolen as an example cost us hypothetically 30 runs over the course of a season. You won 100 games. That wasn't enough? :wink: Just playing. I'm not looking forward to having to face Rolen again this season. He kills us.

I do agree with Soccer on one point regarding Farnsworth. I never felt all that comfortable when he was in the game, knowing that at any time he might fire six or seven consecutive balls. Then again, the only two relief pitchers of the last three seasons that I felt good about having in the game were Borowski in 03 and Dempster in 05, so my expectations were pretty high.

If anyone other than Todd Walker (or Hairston against lefties) plays second for an extended period this season, everyone in the organization should be fired: Dusty and his team for playing Neifi too much, and Hendry and his team for bringing him back for 6 times as much as anyone else would have given him. I'm not even kidding.

Oh, they would have? How did they do against MSU this past season? Notre Dame will not join the Big Ten after watching the mighty Penn State go from a perennial powerhouse as an indy to getting knocked around like a good team should. In the Big Ten, ND would be the next Minnesota. And I'd judge that over the next decade or so, ND will be better than most of the top-tier Big Ten tams. I must disagree, kind sir.Well, then refer back to this post in 2016 and we'll see who's right. :D -
Which team do you see that being? I don't know what UK thinks, but I like the Mets in the NL.

3 game-winning homers in a week to tie the SEASON record early in 2003. Then he hit a 4th that Geoff Jenkins pulled back into the park against Milwaukee in that 16-inning marathon that CPatt eventually won with a homer. That was a fun day. :) -
Wow. Carolina's got some major guts. And Duke's got some major hands around their own throat.

It could also be mentioned that he's been on, like, four teams since July 30, 2004. Clearly the man has a problem sticking. No one is more relieved that Bartman reached for that foul ball than KGonz. -
The Detroit Pistons don't have a problem with the philosophy of having no star players. I wouldn't say they have a clear go-to guy, well at least not anymore than Gordon is for the Bulls. The only problem with that reasoning is that every single one of the Pistons' starters would probably be THE go to guy or at least the 2nd option on the Bulls. It's not a team of no stars, it's a team of stars working together. There's a big difference.

Ball State won 67-60 over Buffalo, but the student section, which has been known as The Nest since the beginning of last season, had the lowest turnout I've seen in my time here. Ouch.
