  1. Aramis K's on a foul tip. I really hope he starts hitting soon.
  2. Probably has a lot to do with his 2002, when he had an iffy year and there was a perception that he was lazy. It's stupid, though, it's not like he chose to depart.
  3. Wow, that Duke pitch was wicked. Pierre down.
  4. Any bets on how long Murton will have to continue raking to earn a spot ahead of Angel Pagan in the batting order?
  5. In 2001, I joined a Sandbox.com league and my team absolutely ran away with the league. It really wasn't even close. Then, 4 teams decided to combine into 2 to stop me. I finished 3rd. I'm still bitter.
  6. I hope you are correct - as long as it is in RF. No Pagan will get the start in RF and Hairston @ 2B. I'm just guessin btw. Unfortunately you are almost certainly correct.
  7. I'm sorry Mr. T&A. Some people don't wish to subject their kids to scantily clad women at a sporting event. BTW, they're not 18 and able to legally decide for themselves. If the ballpark wasn't a family venue, I'd say go for it. Girls dancing on the dugout doesn't enhance my baseball experience, only those pathetic individuals not happy with the women in their lives (if they exist). You buy a baseball ticket to...watch baseball. Amazing. Revolutionary. So are you saying the NFL and NBA aren't family venues. I'd say drunks shouting obsenities is more an affront to my children than those women. I'm guessing you wouldn't take your son to the Wrigley bleachers either because there's usually women more scantily clad there than those Reds cheerleaders are. I haven't seen nearly enough of this in my three forays into the bleachers, even though the games were in late-June.
  8. I also post on this board, same handle as here. PowerWoofer is practically bipolar when it comes to the Bulls.
  9. I noticed we're still on pace for more homers than last year. It seems no matter how much we try to limit our home run influence, we end up hitting more! But if we win, it's fine. :)

As it stands now (and for the past week or so), the Bulls second pick would be at 16, not 12 like it is in that draft. While we're at it, how does Portland have the 1st pick? Must be a clerical error over there. Portland has the worst record. Wow, where'd that come from? They must have really fallen like a rock because I thought it had been a Knicks/Hawks/Bobcats race all year.

  12. BTW, I take full blame for jinxing Rocket. Tejada ended his streak at 11 tonight.
  13. I picked Perez in the 2nd round last year. I still finished 3rd. That's how good (read: lucky outside of Perez)) I am.
  14. wow.
  15. That's not new.
  16. Look harder.
  17. New season high as Pujols gets me to 5! Dan Johnson for Saturday (changed from Bay) and Bay on Sunday (the Rusch factor).
  18. Aaron Harang beat Chris Carpenter 1-0 tonight. You are reading this correctly.
  19. Care to elaborate? Are you referring to his tendency to want to "get his starters wins"? I nominate Narron, because it's always too soon to pull your starters when you have the Cincy bullpen. That quote reminds me of when he pulled Carp in a game he didn't look sharp in last year after four innings and 60 pitches to preserve a long winning streak of his. That annoyed me.
  20. I like "In the Summertime".
  21. This doesn't seem right to me. Injured Cubs pitchers aren't supposed to even progress ON schedule, let alone ahead of it. Something's afoot.

Ronnie Brewer would make me very happy. I don't think he'll last that long. I'd be tempted to take Redick at 16 if the Jazz pass on him at 13, but he's not a great fit for the Bulls. Current mock has the Bulls taking Brewer with pick number 2. I could live with him or Redick. There's no way Foye drops to the Bulls, although if he did I'd love to have him.
  23. Oh. I have playoff tickets for Game 6 if it gets that far. :)
