By no means do we need at least one lefty if that lefty is not a good pitcher. I like Sean Marshall because I think he can be a good pitcher, not because he is a token lefty. It's statements like "we need a lefty" that keep guys like Glendon Rusch employed.
I'd like to see Marshall get a quality start before dubbing him "real". Even if you count Marshall as a non-real starter, we're still unbeaten when real starters start games.
No, he's not in their league. He is in this league. The National League. And if there's one manager who would take any catcher in THIS league over Barrett for this season, they're borderline [expletive].
Good, just when people had stopped hating on one of our guys that is one of the best hitters in the majors at their position (Walker) we find another one to despise (Barrett). What's with us anyway?
