  1. Holy crap. Mizzou is Prior-less. Huh?? Avatar.
  2. Don't worry. You'll get Calvin Johnson with the #2 pick. If they draft a WR I want Dwayne Jarrett. But as long as they draft offense, I won't complain too much. As long as the first round pick isn't an O-linemen. Just no defense. For the sake of my sanity. Calvin Johnson >> Dwayne Jarrett. Agree. CJ had Reggie Freaking Ball throwing it to him and STILL put up among the best numbers in the country.
  3. Maybe Florida really will beat Ohio State.

  5. The question I have for everybody is that if everyone expects ND to get blown out, if LSU wins the bowl game in a very close game, does that mean ND is better than you thought they were? Ummmm...was that directed to me? No, sort of an add-on to your comment that everyone is predicting a huge blowout-not directed at you whatsoever. Good. Because I see ND winning this one. And I really hope they do. I am real sick of all my friends talking about how overrated ND is. I will admit they are - somewhat - but if ND can win this, hopefully it will shut a lot of people up (not directed to anyone on this board). Was 92 their last Sugar Bowl? For some reason I am thinking they went again in 93. Cotton Bowl in 93.
  6. The question I have for everybody is that if everyone expects ND to get blown out, if LSU wins the bowl game in a very close game, does that mean ND is better than you thought they were? The answer, of course, is no. And as much as I'd like to make some snarky comment about anti-ND drivel on this board, the fact is I won't be satisfied with anything but a win either.
  7. Ooh, good question. Watch for James Aldridge of ND. Darius Walker is good and all, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie fight speed with speed and put the faster Aldridge in. John Carlson will be back for that game too, which will help an Irish offense that looked emasculated at times against USC.
  8. That'll be a great, great game to watch. Wisco with something to prove and Arkansas still has Darren McFadden.
  9. I'd put FSU-UCLA in the mismatch category given the Bruins' last game and given FSU's 6-6 record with no good wins on their resume. And I've seen Western play. WMU/Cincy is absolutely a tremendous mismatch. The Broncos are gooood.
  10. Are you talking about the Saints or the 49ers defense being junk? I presumed you meant the Saints. Regardless of which of them you meant, I agree that the Cowboys v. Saints game next sunday night is going to be a huge game for the NFC. Like Alien v. Predator: Whoever wins, we lose. Go Cowboys I suppose.
  11. Fixed. I do. Kinda nice to root for a college sports team that nobody hates once in a while.
  12. ND wins 81-74 to give the Terps their first loss :D Can't be stressed how big that win was, especially with top-10 Alabama coming in to SB on Thursday. This could be a leapfrog into something good. Thx Kyle McAlarney for having his first big game of the year with 18 points. GO IRISH!
  13. NO, NO, and NO. Rutgers clobbered by Cincy. Out. WVU lost at home to South Florida. Out. Both teams played schedules ridiculously easier than ND's. Out. A one loss Rutgers or WVU? Maybe. But not with two losses. WVU's loss to South Florida screwed them. That WVU-Rutgers game helped. If Rutgers had won, this board would have melted down with all the people yelping for Louisville with 1 loss as an at-large, and I hate to say it but they'd have been right. The way it went down ensured that neither of WVU or Rutgers could be reasonably argued for.

  15. I agree. I want there to be no doubt from now on when ND makes the BCS. Otherwise every time a 10-2 ND gets in over other teams this same crap will go on.
  16. But if as you guys say LSU clobbers ND and Wisconsin and Auburn handle their business, you can absolutely trash the Irish being in there. Lord knows they'd deserve it. I REALLY want to win a bowl game and beat a top 25 team. Because I'm sick to death of both those stats.
  17. I hope everyone in America agrees with you. And I mean that. Agreed. because that means that everyone else in America realizes, like you do, that Notre Dame doesn't deserve a BCS spot. Under the BCS rules, with only 2 teams allowed per conference, ND does deserve a bid. I realize that. And that's why Notre Dame gets in with no argument, really. But that doesn't change the fact that they don't deserve it. They followed the rules, they won 10 games against a top-25 schedule, and no one else played well enough to earn it apart from ineligible UW. So yes, they do. Don't forget Auburn being ineligible, because they also finished ahead of ND. Thanks, forgot them. I knew there was an SEC team in there somewhere.

  19. I hope everyone in America agrees with you. And I mean that. Agreed. because that means that everyone else in America realizes, like you do, that Notre Dame doesn't deserve a BCS spot. Sigh. I'll ask AGAIN. Under the current rules, who deserves it more?
  20. ND leads #23 Maryland 62-51 with 7 minutes left! :D
  21. I hope everyone in America agrees with you. And I mean that.
  22. Saints win the South, Boys win the East, Seahawks win the West, Panthers 5 seed and whoever plays least crappy of everyone else 6 seed. Book it.
  23. I'll call it. ND/LSU will be the best game of the BCS. Louisville, Oklahoma and OSU will all win in walks. And Michigan will beat up on USC too.
