  1. I'll be at the game tomorrow. Let's rebound (literally and figuratively).
  2. That it was. We EASILY should've won by at least 3 TDs. Another game where we outgain the opponent heavily, in terms of total yardage, and we still barely win the game. We outgained Detroit by over 200 yards last week and only won by 8 and we outgained the Bills by almost 200 yards and still found a way to lose by 14. Regardless though, our D is improving as the season goes on. Aaron Kampman is becoming a stud and we're actually starting to get pressure on the QB now. I'll take the W. We have a decent chance at finishing 8-8 as we will more than likely play against the Bears 2nd and 3rd stringers for about 3/4's of the game next Sunday. Hopefully the Giants, Falcons, and Rams lose on Sunday... HAHA...good luck with that. Weinke and his 17-game losing streak as a starter are starting again Sunday.
  3. Maps for Sunday: http://gribblenation.net/nflmaps/16-FOX.gif http://gribblenation.net/nflmaps/16-CBS-E.gif http://gribblenation.net/nflmaps/16-CBS-L.gif
  4. Don't worry, they'll let you down once conference play starts. They'll have to work hard to do so, as they have the easiest Big East schedule you could draw up (no Pitt, no UConn, and two games each against USF and Providence). Sort of a makeup for those years where they were forced by ESPN to play Cuse, Pitt and UConn twice a year. That will just make it all the more agonizing for you to watch. And, as a side note, I say this not as a Notre Dame hater because I'm indifferent to their basketball team, but since your teams have consistently let you down over the past year. Word to that. I'll enjoy it for now until the inevitable meltdown :D

  6. ND clobbers Army 88-47 (Army scored 11 points in a row near the end of the game to make it look a little less bad for them). That team is just so darn fun to watch. I haven't seen a team I followed spread the ball around like they do in a long time. Next will be Rider a week from tonight.
  7. I also took Green Bay.
  8. Hendry is totally and deeply in love with Cesar Izturis. Why again must we wait to crucify him? I'm pretty much ready now. What would happen if Izturis plays well next season? If Mr. Career .295 OBP plays well next year then that will probably mean we are the luckiest team in baseball. Slightly below average would be a stunning success.
  9. Put Pujols in over Brock Easily
  10. Waste of money. How about a CF?
  11. Would you have said the same thing about Indy last year? The playoffs are a crapshoot mostly The Colts are the Colts, of course I wouldn't have said the same thing last year
  12. I'll eat my own right foot if anyone but SD gets out of the AFC
  13. I put 31 on TCU. Garrett Wolfe is awesome, but TCU's run defense is better. Frogs win 37-7. Wow.
  14. Woo! Go Bulls! Looks like I missed a good one (although I've been very good about not missing many games this year).
  15. Ball State blows a 22-9 lead and loses to Temple at home 75-70. :( That was our chance to springboard into a fantastic rest of the season, but instead it's just another L. 4-7 now. ND cruises over Portland 86-69, with Russell Carter scoring a career-high 28 and Rob Kurz aka the best white post player this side of Chapel Hill puts up 21 and 11. BSU will next play against Tennessee State on the road on Friday. ND hosts Army on Thursday (I'll be there).
  16. I can live with that, I guess.
  17. Wow... 5-1 in that division and no playoffs.. That's just sick. Well, a 3-7 out of division record will do that to you...
  18. They have ND going 26-3, with their remaining 2 losses coming by 4 points total. (Actually it projected 24-5, but game by game it came down to 26-3) This means, of course, that these ratings have lost all credibility.
  19. Panthers pretty much have no shot, although they could finish 5-1 in the division, which is something to shoot for, anyway.
  20. Clemente was far from the first Latin American player. He did great service work, but he didn't break down any 'barriers' that I know of.
  21. Yep. Worked brilliantly. He scored 50 points. Of course, the rest of my team put together scored 45, and I lost anyway. But, at least I made the right call.
  22. Disagree I agree with the Disagree! NO ONE should wear #21 in a Cub uniform again. Plain and simple. quote] Sorry, but IT'S A NUMBER.....A NUMBER....For goodness sake. All this fuss about a FRIGGIN' number. If Marquis wants to wear #21, fine, if he doesn't fine. I don't really see anyone fussing. They are discussing, and it's actually a pretty good discussion. And it's not like retiring numbers is something new. Most teams do it in honor of a local sports hero. Besides the many Cub records he owns, the fans absolutely loved him for most of his career in Chicago, and many still do and always will. The front office really should block that number from use, at least temporarily. I agree. The Cubs should be a classy enough organization to realize that Sosa was one of the all time greats to put on a Cubs uniform. Whether you like him as a person or not, he was a great ballplayer and gave everything he had for many years. One of the greatest memories I have of Sammy was the first night game the Cubs played after 911, when Sammy hit the home run and ran around the bases with the American Flag. They should put their egos aside and reserve his number for when he is inducted into the hall. I'd forgotten about that. I always remember him running out to RF with the flag. Geez, what a moment.
  23. When was the last time a team from the big east could even compete with Ohio State or Michigan? Heck mostof the last few years Iowa or Wisky would have won the Big East. Are you talking about football? This is a basketball thread. If you aren't talking about football, then that's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read on here.
  24. 16 teams in the Big East, not 18. ND moves up to 20th in the AP poll, still not ranked (although first in the also category) in the coaches.
  25. What is the tiebreaker? SOS. The Lions' schedule is weaker, so they are "worse".
