  1. I thought for sure Ohman was gonna go. I didn't think the Cubs would take three lefty's north.
  2. My favorite part in bold. Beat me to it. Great Slam by Rotoworld
  3. Anyone know where I can find an updated list of teams closers? I know rotoworld usually has one but I can't find it. Thanks
  4. Umpire - Mr Piniella, my face is up here! :P
  5. Agreed, I was very disappointed when they broke those two up
  6. Choose your favorite Radio Show
  7. I'm gonna go with one post before you rip on him. I don't think its "ripping" at all. Look at the numbers they haven't been very good. I loved what he did for the Cubs, but that was obviously a bit of a fluke year. He was good with the Red Sox for a couple years
  8. This time at a bargain basement price, with other BP options available. Not a big deal. Great Point. What's the big deal? If Wood pitches and he's good it's a plus. If he doesn't (which has been the case this spring) then he won't be any good on the roster anyways. Give it to Cherry, he has been much better and deserving anyways.
  9. How about no to all of the above
  10. Why should he have to apologize for running to first base. If anyone should have had to apologize it should have been Eyre for that garbage throw. Furcal was just running to the base.
  11. Last year we didn't have Soriano and D-Lee(our best all-around hitter) was out almost all year. We had a rotation with guys like Les Walrond, Glendon Rusch and Ryan O'Malley starting games. We had Guzman in there for almost ten starts and he didn't get a single win. Barrett was out the last month or so as well. Not to mention we had Dustbrain as our manager. This year every aspect of our team is greatly improved. Starting pitching, Lineup, Defense (Yes I believe our defense is not that bad), and our bench. Our bullpen was solid last year and still is.
  12. I used to be a veteran. Now I'm a starter. What's up with that?
  13. Wow, how long did it take you to type that post? It's so long I didn't really want to read it all.
  14. What exactly are you guys betting? Money, Tickets, Something else, or just pride?
  15. Sucks for vendors. There goes at least that quarter tip they get from everybody.
  16. Lou so far A- Gerald Perry A+ -I have only wathced a few games this year when they were on, but the Cubs look much more patient than they have in previous years. Working the count more seems like it is part of the plan and I am glad to see they are willing to wait for the pitch they are looking for. Keep it up Gerald.
  17. Group A: Ortiz Group B: A. Jones, A. Ramirez Group C: P. Fielder, D. Lee, G. Sheffield Group D: M. Piazza, C. Crawford, N. Markakis, J. Rollins, C. Duncan WC: Alex Gordon -> Carlos Pena
  18. Just got back from errands. If Xavier was smart they would have fouled on the last play of the 4th qtr. That would have forced Ohio St. to the line and they would have had to get a board and put-back on the second free throw miss.
  19. Talk about a "raw" player
  20. Oops. Didn't know that thread was out there.
  21. A lot of players have big years when their contract is about to be up. Anyone know somewhere to find a list of all the big contract players this year?
