    Well, if the lineup can support Jacque Jones and Izturis, it can support Pie and Izturis. Pie's OPS is currently higher than Jacque's, and it projects to be slightly higher than Jacque's. Based on each player's current OPS, substituting Pie for Jones would result in about 16 more runs over the course of a season. The lineup didn't support JJ and Izturis. It's weak. But we're agreeing here. I want Pie to play everyday and stick. As has been said elsewhere by me and others, we need to have some young cheap talent on the field to support the expense of Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, and future acquistions (please, Arod, please!). One reason I didn't like the Floyd signing. We didn't need him. You can never have enough players

    Why wouldn't Lou use Ohman or Eyre here in mop-up duty. Maybe it would help them get on track, while saving our good arms (Wuertz) for a close game?

    Wuertz should be the 8th inning and close situation guy. I am so sick of Howry. Every pitch he throws is right on the lower outside corner. All you have to do is tap it into RF and you got a hit.

    Why is Murton pissing you off? Is it because he's been thrust only into end game situations as a young player against pitchers he's never faced in his only AB of the game? Is it because Lou is putting him in that spot? Is it because the Cubs system hates OBP and tries to remove that quality from his plate approach? Which one is it? Even when he has played and started this year he hasn't looked good. He doesn't do anyhting good besides being patient, and he hasnt even done that this year.

    This team makes me sick. How hard is it to score runs against Braden Looper. My god. The 7th inning was when they really blew it. How hard is it to put the bat on the ball? This team sucks.

    I'm starting to jump off the Matt Murton Bandwagon. He has looked lost at the plate all year thie year. Everyone on here, including myself, loved his patience. Well, that patience is not there anymore. He has had many bad looking swings and swung at three garbage pitches in the 9th today. I like our lineup better right now with Floyd in the lineup. We need all the power we can get with the way this offense has been playing.
