  1. How do you figure? Nearly every RB who has gotten the 'big contract' really hasn't produced accordingly. The one guy I can think of that even deserved the money was AP and even then he was hurt last year playing for a team in a rebuilding phase. dumb teams have been paying for the RB of late though. The market is set by everybody, not just the SB champions. the bears don't have to pay what the market sets. they can let him walk if they think he's too expensive. they can take advantage of those dumb teams by dumping money into positions that have more true value, and they have, for the most part. Obviously, that's been my stance. The point, however, is that cubbyvirus asked "how do you figure the market is trending toward the deal Forte wants?" The market has trended there. My thinking is really that only a handful of teams really care enough about the position to invest big money into it. I'm going to assume that most teams understand that these guys have a short shelf life and that they can find a UFA or a late round pick to fit their system and produce.

  3. Do NOT pay Forte. All common sense says to let him walk after his franchise tagged season. He's got past knee injury issues, he's got very little tread left on the tires and the extra cap space should really be allocated to the aging defense. I do not agree with tying big money up on both RB AND QB. He's a notch below Foster and Shady in both skill and including age.
  4. I never did understand sports betting and over/under splits.
  5. If it does they need to make a Hardknocks NBA edition following that team with him in charge. You know they essentially did that kind of show with the Nuggets on NBA tv, right? No, I don't get NBA tv ([expletive] you Charter :club: ). So if he gets the GM job put the Magic with Shaq on whatever their show is called on there for this upcoming season The Association

  7. Man that brings back memories. I loved that play
  8. If the Spurs stay healthy, they should be able to beat OKC and run right thru anybody coming out of the East. It will be glorious watching Miami break up the big 3.
  9. I'm really tired of hearing this every year. Almost as bad as "Rex is our Quarterback." The more I think about it, the Bears keep signing these washed up DT's when they could of had perhaps a decent prospect in the 4th round. I just don't like that undersized TE pick in the 4th.
  10. I'm sure that's not close to true. Please tell me you're joking
  11. Man, that links depressing
  12. I love me some old school nba fights. I miss the mid to late 90s era bball
  13. Looks like all that trash talk did no good for granger
  14. It's about time someone gave that idiot a shot
  15. Yes, that's Marshall making Cutler look small. Didn't realize mn was referring to that pic. marshall makes chocobot look like tall urkel I wanna see Marshall and Jeffrey side by side
  16. Right on. Heck I remember when MJ shot 56 percent during that one year they had a condensed 66-game schedule and Tony Delk was the point guard. Plus, who could forget that legendary playoff game when Jordan was passing up shots for Wennington? Dd you bother to look at his FG % all season or just post cynical garbage for the sake of it? http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/24200/the-truth-about-kobe-bryant-in-crunch-time Meant sarcastic, whoops Cynical?

  18. Without looking, I'm willing to bet that last nights game was the first time in the last 15 games that Kobe shot 54%. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201205100DEN.html I stand corrected. My point is Kobe shot much lower then 54% all season.
  19. I've got wood. Can't wait to watch the offense this year!
  20. Without looking, I'm willing to bet that last nights game was the first time in the last 15 games that Kobe shot 54%. You have to feed gasol and Bynum for them to bein the game mentally. Chicago fans understand one player cannot be the entire offense, yet people (largely laker fans)defend Kobe and his horrific shot selection and unwillingness to pass. Him shooting 54% is an anomaly.
  21. Just coming up shy scoring half of the team's points? I dunno, he inexplicably debates with Lakers fans on a daily basis, so expect some gems. Hahaha you mention my name and nuts comes running. Jock riders are the best! Well the problem is half the offense is being run thru Kobe. Perhaps swing the ball and get your teammates involved? Nahhhhhh Yeah, he should have swung it to Ramon Sessions (1-6), Devin Ebanks (1-4) and Pau Gasol (5-14) more. Ron Artest was the only other Laker to have a good game. If those guys hit what were probably some wide open shots, Kobe might have had a few assists. Bynum and gasol had very little touches down the stretch yet again. Kobe is not known as a motivating facilitator and the lakers squad looked very tentative. As the leader of that team you gotta get ore guys involved
  22. No sweat here. Winslow's knees are ravaged.
  23. LOL. Kobe had 0 assists in 40+ minutes. It's safe to conclude that the offensive possession ends with him taking a shot, like it did last year when they were destroyed by Dallas.
  24. QQ jock riding
