  1. Wasn't Reggie Mckenzie a highly touted GM prospect? What in the world are the Raiders doing? I'm going to bet that they somehow wind up with Desean Jackson and Incognito on their roster before the season ends with a dash of Manziel.
  2. Top 100 picks losing playing time in one of their 4 years on their rookie contracts to players who either aren't very good or aren't part of this team's future, when the team should be rebuilding on defense. This team has missed in the draft at an alarming rate the past 5 years. Sure we have G Long who at this point is an average to an above average player and Alshon who's had a great year. But we haven't picked a defensive player worth a damn in a long time. If this team misses on these next 1-2 drafts, we're in for a world of pain. Thanks for pointing this out. Someone that hadn't read your last 30 or so posts in this thread might not have known your position on the Bears drafting history. I've reached the point (perhaps later than others) where I believe CubbyVirus is a joke account several steps behind RawDog. The mystery, intrigue and speculation behind my account and its 'joking nature', continues..... Thanks for the shout out 'PushFrog.'

It is still amazing how some people don't understand that all these draft misses are compiling into a major problem for the Bears. Thanks for dedicating a post about my last 30 posts, it means a lot. \:D/

  5. @djdurkin: only 14 of the 65 players on the current #bears roster were drafted by the team. Nobody from the 2009 and 2010 draft class remains
  6. Anything above a 7 would be a steal.
  7. Peppers will flash and disappoint. Nagging injuries have really slowed him. I would think adding a veteran TE or WR would have better served the Packers
  8. The question is if Willie Young and Lamarr Houston are upgrades over Corey Wootten and Peppers. Valid question.
  9. I dont have the patience for Emery fouling up more draft picks.
  10. I'm curious what they're gonna do with the extra cap room. We definitely need more bodies on the D-line, especially at DE.
  11. That is horrible. Yeah I'm tired of the Bears drafting being so bad. I think this is a year that will make or break Emery, he's had some meh drafts so far. I'm not saying there havent been some bad misses that make you scratch your head (McClellen, Hardin), but at the very least he's been able to draft 2 Pro Bowlers in 2 drafts (Jeffery, Long), one of them possibly developing into a top 5 player at his position. The Pro Bowl is pretty meaningless these days, since so many players decide to rest/rehab instead of play. I love Long and Jeffrey but they were alternates.
  12. Its an OK signing. I would like a few more bodies there. The big question is what to do with Peppers. I would love to see Ware somehow on this team.

  14. By all accounts on twitter, it looks like Bennett is staying in Seattle. Boy our line is gonna be ugly this year.
  15. Urlacher is turning into a giant Bears troll in the media. Hearing the Lance Briggs interview this morning, he seemed pretty depressed about the drastic defensive changing of the guard. I'd assume hes next to go after Tillman/Peppers.
  16. He gave us some great memories. However he had a pretty good last year statistically. Unfortunately the NFL all but made a great KR/PR obsolete with their changes affecting special teams. Average % of touch backs has trended up the last 3 years with last year being 56%.
  17. TJ Ward coming into view as a possible FA pickup.
  18. Dion Jordan has been made available by Miami. Wouldn't be a bad get for Emery
  19. That's a great read.
  20. The part I took issue with is the notion that they had very good success with veteran offensive lineman in Chicago. Angelo absolutely went into multiple offseasons as a hostage to the need to acquire offensive linemen specifically because he never drafted them after his first draft. It wasn't that "young players failed to meet expectations" it was because he ignored the offensive line and relied on 30 years for too long. The biggest problem with Angelo were his misses in the early rounds. After 2006, without looking he didn't hit on any of the first 2 rounds. Many of those misses were a complete miss with not even drafting a solid starter, let alone a fixture.
  21. Why add players? This team is just going to get squashed like an insect come playoff time.
  22. Ah, yeah that makes sense. So it doesn't seem like had an F medical like cubbyvirus said. It was a concern, but not to that level. A bit dramatic yes, however there's a tribune article out there that was quoted as saying there are very few cases of a player regaining full strength and mobility after dislocating a knee. Not a common injury. Angelo basically took him anyway then he promptly went out a dislocated the same knee a second time in game 2 in his rookie season.
  23. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFL-Draft-101.html Um, why didn't you follow your own system Jerry? Chris Williams and Carimi both had a F grade medical
  24. Post Combine I'd love to have 1 of : DT Donald, SS Clinton-Dix, or CB Gilbert. I think that would be the best value at the 14th pick if going Defense in Round 1, especially Gilbert.
