  1. I wouldn't care so much if we lost to MIN, but god not St. Louis
  2. The RAIDERS need help everywhere but their pick IMO needs to help change the direction of the franchise, spark some life into the team and fan base. You can argue Bortles and Manziel all day and to me it's either vanilla or chocolate with no clear top prospect at QB. My mind says Bortles but Manziel is a natural fit for the Raiders. The Raiders select QB Johnny Manziel
  3. wtf I think we looked pretty good in OT I've been drinking but really the 3rd was frustrating
  4. The chicken [expletive] prevent D killed us in the 3rd. Haven't looked decent since
  5. I'm with you. Despite the Bulls in a bad conference, even with Drose they still can't win a title as currently constructed. They're a piece or two away from being able to challenge for the title assuming Rose comes back at an All-Star level.
  6. Wasn't Tommie Harris a tad shy of 300 out of college? Darnell Dockett's listed playing weight is under 300 lb FWIW
  7. Donald isn't your typical combine-hyped prospect though. Dude's numbers were ridiculous. 28.5 TFL and 11 sacks from the DT position. 63 TFL and 27.5 sacks in the last 3 years. He's the real deal. The only concern is if the lack of size hampers him at the next level. I don't get the amount of concern over his size. His weight is fine and sure he's a little short. But there's already proven success with that body type at the NFL level (Geno Atkins among others).
  8. There are rumors of Donald to NYG. There are rumors that the Rams won't let HCD get past 13. And Gilbert will almost certainly be gone by 14 (possible from 8 on). That's got to be the worst case draft scenario for the Bears. 1 of Donald/HCD/Gilbert would be ideal. Emery also isn't predictable and could easily take a Haegeman or Fuller who are both late 1st/early 2nd prospects.
  9. The only slight reach that Emery should consider for would be Pryor at Safety. Other then that, 14 is too early for Fuller and Jernigan. Donald, Gilbert, Dix, Pryor. That should realistically be the group to choose from.
  10. - Matt Miller Read that. I'd guess Gilbert would be gone. He's gotta be a threat to go every pick from about Minnesota (8th) on. I like Dennard, but don't know if I love him in the top 15. Of course, I'd almost never pick a CB in the top 20 unless I'm getting Patrick Peterson/Joe Haden. No to Dennard. Who are Gilbert's comparable players?
  11. 1/10 you are definitely not authorized to rate jokes I just did. 1/10 it is.
  12. I wonder if people over rate guys like Billups and Ben Wallace because of that 2004 team that won the title. It was a good collection of skilled players, but none of them should be considered for the Hall of Fame.
  13. How is Ben Wallace a HoFer?
  14. TE Ebron or one of the top 3 Tackles (Matthews, Lewan, Robinson) would be the only offensive players that might be there worth taking at 14 IMO. A 2 TE set would be fun to watch with Ebron.
  15. Absolutely. He's done a good job in FA. I'm excited to see what we do in the draft since half our D is still old
  16. Allen would be awesome. Allows the Bears to go S or CB in the first
  17. Just as long as that topic is missed draft picks by the Bears. dun dun chhhhhh
  18. It takes at least 31 posts ranting about something before I learn. Sometimes I do rant, my bad. But seriously, it was more like 5 posts 8-)
  19. Ahh, the famous high school retort of "Nobody likes you!" I'm crushed. I'd prefer to stay on topic to be honest.
  20. It's amazing that THAT'S the conclusion you take away from this. I knew you'd make an appearance. Oh how I've missed you...
  21. I think that would skew the talent even more, the New York's, LA's, Brooklyn's, etc. of the world would probably be pushing mid-high hundreds of millions in salaries per year (I think with the salary cap taxes NY/Brooklyn are over $100 mil this year). I don't think the small markets could operate on payroll budgets like that and also guys want to play in big markets still in the NBA. LA/NY/DAL/Brooklyn/etc, would be offering Lebron like $40-50 mil annually in a uncapped market this offseason. He'd probably be worth it too. I think you'd wind up with the same situation we are in now, the top guys would all go to big markets the middle tier guys like the Rudy Gay's, Iguodala's, Josh Smith's of the world would probably still wind up on the low/mid level teams that have no chance to compete but would be making $10+ mil more a year in a non cap market. The best way to "fix" the NBA, for those that don't like it, IMO, would be to condense the league/talent and eliminate 4-6 teams. I think the talent is too spread out and the product is being affected. Winner. The NBA has to fix its business and how teams operate. It's basically a 2-3 horse race every single year and you can safely eliminate over half the teams post All-Star break. Eliminating the lottery process is a good start.
