Thank you Jerome Randle! Nice work from Taj, Derozan, and Hackett...that game was way too close for comfort given the huge rebounding edge SC had. Cal makes sickening long distance shots though.
Haha, classic UMF. It's not even the middle of March and you're panicking. I think it's a fair point. If he DOES struggle people will naturally conflate what happened in the WBC to his on field performance. Even if they're unrelated he'll be bombarded by the media asking if he has a hangover from what happened in the WBC and maybe then it gets in his head. There's no reason to panic but it sure doesn't help.
Miller is OK. He's way too slow on the pick and pop on offense and way too sow to defend it on defense. I thought he'd be more of an effective jump shooter off of pick and rolls but he takes forever to wind up his shot because he's usually ball faking towards the hoop first. That part of his game is gone now and he just needs to take that jumper immediately.
It wasn't a three. He picked Salmons' pocket and hit a running/leaning 19 footer from near the top of the key as time expired. He's just way too good. I knew he was going to win it as soon as he stole the ball from Salmons.
Vinny is too stupid to draw up an out of bounds play that can get the ball into the hands of a primary ballhandler. Salmons is not a creator off the dribble at all...Wade owned him twice in the overtimes when he tried to attack. Really lame finish to a great game.
Facebook comment gets Eagles employee fired: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3965039 I think that's a bit of an over reaction...firing a stadium operations guy, in this economy, over a harmless comment on Facebook?
CBS in San Diego is cutting out the first half of the Duke/UNC game for some stupid telethon. Why is CBS doing an ACC game anyway? I thought ACC was strictly Fox and ESPN/ABC.
Is the Skydome supposed to be a launching pad? Votto pulverized his homer but it seemed like Youkilis and McCann's homers carried really well. And Thornton is throwing smoke.
