  1. Noah rocking the birth control glasses and Craig Sager jacket. That shirt and tie combo by Miller is pretty out there too.
  2. Crabtree is certainly not average when it comes to getting separation, body positioning, and catching the ball. He's not a ridiculous athlete (although he's a pretty good one) but neither are a lot of top flight WRs.
  3. Injuries really hurt him early in his career. And that's really what lessened the fans' patience. When he did finally play he showed more promise than any QB in Bears history, and was among the best in the league for a while in 06. Then he hit rock bottom so hard and so often. The combination of these things did Rex in with Chicago fans. I'd say his total lack of ability to play as a starter in the NFL probably did him in more. Considering the fact that he did play as a starter and enjoyed a fair amount of success would seem to contradict your theory. You mean before defenses had a chance to get some tape of him and realized he lacked any sort of poise in the pocket and made horrific decisions at an alarming rate? Yeah he was pretty effective then. That Rex is never going to come back. He's simply not good enough to be anything more than a stopgap solution on an NFL team.

  5. Tiger's swing looks a lot more stable now. He's going to be destroying the tour again pretty shortly.
  6. I think either the team tanks completely or you want them to make the playoffs. The difference between a low seed and low in the lottery is negligible. And tanking implies all sorts of scary things about the development of the young guys on the team. It's not like the Bulls would turn into one of the worst teams in the league in a vacuum. It would imply a lack of development of Rose, Thomas, Noah, etc. and the team would be further away from contending status than it already is. No thanks.
  7. What does this even mean?
  8. 120-102 over the Magic. Probably the best offensive game of the season. Howard had a nice game but didn't completely blow us away like big men have been doing all year. The guard rotation between Gordon, Hinrich, and Salmons looked pretty solid tonight. Good stuff from Noah and Miller too.
  9. Pitt is down 18 at the half to Providence. That is unexpected to say the least.
  10. That is the luckiest NBA buzzer beater I've ever seen.
  11. Collins is all man.
  12. Andre is the only Smith that could potentially fall to 18 after the disastrous week he's had. Jason Smith might go #1 overall.
  13. You could draft Oher and kick him inside to guard if Williams is ready to take over at LT.
  14. http://www.nfl.com/combine/top-performers DHB ran a 4.3 flat.
  15. Here's a Packers evaluation of potential 1st round type guys: I think we're in a BPA mode. If one of the top OT's falls (Smith, Smith, Oher, Monroe, etc.) we can take him (or more realistically, trade up). Or we can take an edge rusher. I'd still prefer a big, athletic WR that will catch balls in traffic. Heyward-Bey or Nicks maybe.
  16. And yeah, I echo the sentiments about Rochestie being really annoying. I cannot stand his name. It's almost as dumb as "Far Mar." :D
  17. The talent level is the envy of every program besides half a dozen maybe. It's just youth. I did think Howland would get any team to be able to play defense.
  18. You aren't beside yourself about giving up 82 to WAZZU? That's like 3 games worth of points for the Cougs.
  19. Horrible coaching by Roy Williams in the last minute of OT.
  20. Nice soon to be W tonight. Ben and Tyrus were huge.
  21. Grant was the one who kicked it out to Pax for the shot that buried Phoenix. I believe all 5 guys on the floor touched the ball on that possession and MJ was the first.
  22. I've seen this movie before, except last time the GM was a rather large individual with enormous bags under his eyes. Those were the worst teams in Bulls history pretty much. Brand was a nice piece but he wouldn't attract a big time FA like Rose would. Plus the Crumbs factor was a negative at that point.
  23. Lake Michigan Coast bias.
  24. At least we have a coherent plan in place now. Kind of disappointing to see Thabo go but I'm pleasantly surprised we got a first round pick out of it. He seemed like a savvy pick up when we traded for him but the skill level just isn't there.
  25. You know the internet truly has everything when someone feels compelled to collect quotations by Jerome James.
