How do you give Bosh the call there and not Rose on the previous bucket? It's not like any ref is going to feel threatened by the hostile Toronto Raptors fans.
I can't believe Derrick missed that. I also can't believe we drew up Gordon taking a contested 20 footer within 2 seconds of the inbounds pass in the huddle.
Vinny's substitutions are brutal. He does an awesome job of pulling guys who catalyze positive momentum. Noah was doing awesome and he's inexplicably pulled from the game for Miler. Throw in playing Tim Thomas over Salmons while we're at it.
The Bulls have 4 rebounds with 9 minutes left in the 2nd. Toronto has 16. Vinny continues to play Miller and Linton Johnson while they get dominated on the glass.
I'm not sure what to make of it but it seems like everytime I look at a box score for the Bulls Kirk has the best +/- of any player on the team. And that includes times when he has a 2-8 type shooting night. Derrick tends to be at the bottom of +/- as well.
Yeah, I don't know what else you're going to draw up with 0.5 seconds left from the baseline. I thought Nova was pretty dumb for not putting a guy on Fields, personally. He could make that 1 out of 25 tries maybe which aren't astronomically small odds.
Well, since these games are boring here's an interesting article on Lance Stephenson and the decline of NYC high school basketball: http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=89c1f6fc-f89a-4113-b5d2-b640359ac889
Not as cool as this.
I always have to stop myself after looking at links like that because I start looking for other great 90's NBA moments and it just makes me realized how I spoiled I was basically growing up as an NBA fan at that time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_-L-jilyFU Sooooo good. Tesh just kills it with the intro music + the Costas voice-over. It just doesn't get any better.

Miller and Fratello were talking about Tyrus averaging 10 blocks a game during the Detroit game and it's carried over to tonight. Marv and Fratello were pretty blown away that Miller was making that assertion. It was pretty funny. Edit: And yeah, that was a sick block.
I can't believe a guy, Reggie Miller, who played 15+ years in the NBA is actually claiming Tyrus Thomas, or anyone for that matter, should average 10 blocks a game. Lay off the sauce when calling games, Reg.
That was pretty fun watching our 8 point lead early in the 4th turn into a 9 point deficit in less than 5 minutes when the Lakers had a lineup of Vujajic, Walton, Farmar, Powell, and Ariza on the floor.
It's actually right on par with the last few years. Here are the number of teams seeded 10 or higher that won first round games: 2009: 6 (with three still to play) 2008: 6 2007: 2 2006: 8 2005: 5 4 out of those 6 were major conference teams (Maryland, Michigan, Arizona, USC) so that's going to make it feel less Cinderella like. And you've still got Wisconsin who a lot of people are picking to beat FSU.
I'm starting to get my hopes up against Michigan State. Unfortunately, SC won't be able to work them on the glass like they did in the Pac-10 tourney and against BC. And yeah, Al Skinner isn't a very good in-game coach. Len Elmore was semi-ripping him in the 2nd half.
It was pretty sweet when Iggy buried the Lakers with that 3 at the buzzer last night. And Phil, in his usually smarmy but hilarious manner, threw Ariza under the bus in the post game for not using the foul to give.
