  1. Nice throw you [expletive] idiot.
  2. OMG only my team has a punt violently kick forward into the end zone!!
  3. Forte should notice how Bell falls forward on contact.
  4. I think it's been under reported how the Bears have gotten absolutely nothing out of Gilbert, Iglesias, Moore, Melton, etc. Are these guys even on the roster? I haven't heard anything about them.
  5. Twice in a row!
  6. That has to be one of the few times a Bears wide receiver caught a ball where he wasn't wide open. That's been missing, big time.
  7. Inconsistent footwork for one.
  8. Most quarterbacks in the NFL aren't going to look too good on a terrible team. So the fact he is playing bad on a bad team doesn't really tell me anything. His main flaw is the interceptions especially in the red zone and that is just a matter of becoming more disciplined mentally but I think as the season has progressed he has made more and more bad throws probably just because he has been beaten down mentally by having such a crap team around him and getting hit all the time. Putting better talent around Jay will help A LOT. Sure it'll help a lot. It would've helped any quarterback. Cutler has done nothing to make the talent around him, which is admittedly quite bad, better. That's a huge problem. And by acquiring him we hindered our ability to surround him with good talent. You can't say that that the Bears didn't trade for Cutler expecting him to make the players around him better. Everyone here thought he would. But he sucks. I'm not giving up (like we have a choice) on the experiment but he just sucks right now. There's no sugar coating it.
  9. Trying to play to the local population by assembling the All-Nordic team.
  10. There was a stretch where we ran some decent screens. Around the San Francisco game. Or maybe it was only the San Francisco game.
  11. I'd be overjoyed with good, not great. We don't have the resources or the FO competence to get Denver's Oline or Marshall/Royal.
  12. I'm sure he'll be better but will he still be forcing stupid passes all the time? Probably. A la Favre. Works for me. Except much less accurate from what I've seen from Cutler this year. Even when he's going well he's underthrowing and overthrowing people all the time. I don't think we can gauge much of anything about him from this year given how bad the team is. Cutler has sucked hard this year, but it's not like we can determine that this is the "real Cutler" when he's on a team that fails on every possible level. About the only conclusion we can take right now is that Jay Cutler will suck on a sucky team. I think we can pretty accurately gauge that Cutler has many, gigantic flaws in his game that need to be rectified if he's going to be any good. Cutler was good, NOT great in Denver, with amazing offensive talent around him. And now he's terrible with terrible talent around him.
  13. Matt Forte has 1 run over 16 yards this year.
  14. Yeah, the receivers aren't making up for their obvious lack of physical talent by being savvy and not doing anything stupid. That's a big concern. This team is like the Bulls in that they do nothing well.
  15. Alternatively, we could give Cutler a brain and see how he does.
  16. James Johnson is a huge bust btw. This guy doesn't have any skills.
  17. Only abject failure of teams get blown out by EVERY good team on its schedule. I expected better although I probably shouldn't at this point. This team is an utter embarrassment. Even horrible teams have maybe one area where they can play at an equal footing with a good opponent. Horrible coaching, horrible shooting, horrible bench, horrible rebounding, horrible defense. There's nothing to hang your hat on.
  18. Another [expletive] blowout. If the Warriors didn't miss a zillion open jumpers last night that would've been a loss too.
  19. Oh I'm sure it'll be pretty brutal. Maybe not at Augusta but anywhere else he decides to play (especially Ryder Cups and majors at public courses) he'll get a lot of heckling. I forgot where I read this but someone was mentioning it's fortunate that Tiger wasn't playing at Bethpage this coming US Open. That would've been great.
  20. aka I'll be back a few weeks before the Masters to start tuning up.
  21. Matt Taibbi wrote a pretty hilarious column in Rolling Stone about the Bears and their horrible QBs over the years. Unfortunately RS has everything behind a subscription wall so if you're at a newstand I recommend looking for it.
  22. http://home.comcast.net/~chesler/Blog/ninth_avenue.jpg
  23. Plus when you factor in seeding and maybe even byes or home field advantage with the fact that 8 (or 12/16) teams really isn't a lot...college football still has the most important regular season--by far--of any sport.
  24. A playoff greatly increases the importance of games at the end of the season for teams that are already out of the national title (even conference title) picture under the current system.
